Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shijo is located in Kyoto, 600 metres from Karasuma Station. It offers modern accommodation with a public bath, a restaurant and rooms with free WiFi. “Affordable hotel in great location of Kyoto.”
The location was excellent, it was very close to the underground and only two stops from the Kyoto rail station. The room was clean and the staff were helpful. We also used the washing machine facilities which were good and cheap. We never managed to try out the onsen.

Great location, excellent staff, the public bathing facilities are now tattoo friendly which is great. Very clean and good size room. The TV gives you lots of info like how busy the bath is and other facilities. Enjoyed my stay here!

We liked the hotel, it was clean and tidy. The room was perhaps a bit too dark, but everything else was great. The breakfast was simple, but tasty! However, the breakfast area was very cold, which made it feel uncomfortable.

The hotel provided a Japanese style public bath and washing machines. There was a large choice at breakfast and good coffee machines. The room was well designed and comfortable with a shower and bathtub. The hotel had a service for baggage dropoff near the Kyoto train station for 500 yen per bag. This was convenient.

Everything was perfect, it was our second time there and for good reason. The indoor onsen bath, the room with a huge and cosy bed and large TV, the location, the amenities....simply perfect.

“Could not fault my stay and will return.”
Breakfast was available at additional cost to my booking. It was convenient and a huge variety of food available. Staff provided exceptional service and the cleanliness of rooms and eagerness of service staff to keep rooms clean and attend to guests was amazing. Great location. Complimentary water every day. Vending machines provide a good range of drinks and ice creams which are affordable. Easy to walk around and use bus and train including Shinkansen. Bathing facility available after 3pm. Found many restaurants and eateries around location. There is a bakery "Favorite" a few doors up that makes the best apple pie I have ever tasted. Also a Family Mart on the corner and a great Moshi shop.

The staff is the nicest staff ever- Location was perfect, close to main restaurants, trains, easy to walk around and get taxi when needed. It is a great location.
