The staff was really kind and nice

The private double room was very good value if you are not fussed about hostel-style facilities. After all, it is still a lot more privacy than a lot of ryokans! The building is basic, and corridors are unfurnished, but the common area and bar/café are wonderfully decorated and have a great cosy vibe. A good selection of drinks, including local craft beers.

I really like this hostel, I will chose to stay here again! Good vibes, nice staff. In the last floor there is toilet just for women. Just the room can be little more clean, but this depends also on the guest, toilet are very clean and with everything confortable. Thank you!

The staff were incredible in accommodating my needs, after rough travel I was able to upgrade when I arrived. They were also helpful with my dietary requirements. The coffee was delicious. The King room was super comfy. The layout and lounge area were beautiful and well stocked. Local was great for me.

The staff was very helpful, specifically the lady helped me with the clothes dryer and even dryed the clothes in the hostels’ dryer since the other one was busy. Drinks and breakfast was also great

It was beautiful and the facilities were well laid out. Shared bathroom worked well and the shower was great Bunk beds were comfy and high so you didn't bash your head getting up

The location is great, a stones throw from the bottom of philosophers walk and a short walk to the geisha district and the main shopping areas. Staff are super helpful and willing to help you with anything. There is a cute cafe/bar on the ground floor which is nice to hang out in as well as a secure storage room for luggage when not in your room. When upstairs the common areas is clean and nice with games, free tea and washer/dryer that works really well. I saw several people doing digital nomad work on the WiFi no problem. Towel included.

Easy location, nice bar downstairs and common space. Warm welcome and could easily leave my bag before check in with some nice lunch recomendations.

Really cozy hostel in the centre of Kyoto! Only a 7 minute walk to the nearest station too. Atmosphere is great throughout the hostel :) very accommodating lovely staff all round. The breakfast here and dinner here is also great if you prefer a night in! Very clean spaces all round. Also very comfy beds - linen sheets too !! Only 2 showers, but I didn’t run into any problems being a night showerer and there’s more showers on the other floors too !
