Very friendly, clean, good breakfast, quiet, very near to bus stop. Bus nr 26 takes you right to the trainstation in the center, but it takes almost 1 hour. The busstop is near where the bus starts , so you will get a seat on the bus ! There is also a direct bus to the golden temple. Great onzen after a long day. Rooms are good size for Japan.

Different choices for breakfast available for you to choose from. From pasta, rice, bread/buns, fruits and cereals. Tea, coffee or juice available. Fresh salad , eggs, sausages, ham.

Very clean and cozy with helpful staff. Nice calm location. Good vibes.

The room was clean, comfy and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful with travel advice and bus timetables on the wall. There was an onsen facility at the hostel which was great so I got to experience that as well! A big kitchen and dining area and comfortable public area with sofas and tables.

I liked the professionalism of the staff, cleanliness of the bedsheets and the ones and private showers. Very nice place to stay and wash your clothes and relax.

Excellent staff. Efficient, clean and well run, great value for Kyoto. Accommodate late check in. Lovely building and design. Take care with timing of last bus as hostel is located on outskirts of town.

Location and structure of building

A very nice hostel with good facilities. The beds in the dorm rooms provide a good level of privacy and has a lockable cabinet which easily fits a standard size carry on piece of luggage. It is a little far from the centre of Kyoto, but I just we used my Japan Rail Card to/from Uzumasa station which is about a 20-25 mins walk from the hostel.

“Amazing staff, amazing location, amazing stay 10/10”

After an 11 hour hike up the mountains (where we had gotten extremely lost) we arrived at our accommodation covered in mud, scratches, cuts, blood and a tic bite. The staff were incredible, they saw us and brought out a first aid box helped stitch us back up and even searched online how to safely remove tics! They were absolutely fantastic and so kind. The facilities were amazing, and it’s such a great location. Would definitely stay again!

I actually really liked the place, a bit outside of the center of Kyoto which was not a problem for me and my travel itinerary. The included onsen was grandiose

Nice welcome from staff. Very modern, clean & spacious building, with plenty of space to sit, work, relax or eat. Good kitchen and the tea and cute in an evening was a nice touch. Good WiFi. Vending machines and a little 'tuck shop' mean that despite the location you can still get a cold drink or a cup noodle. Location looks far from the city centre but it's an easy and cheap bus ride, and it's easy to get from there to the Bamboo Forest, the Golden Pavilion etc. Price was good at the weekend, compared to city centre rates. Comfortable bed with power outlet, handy little cupboard, curtain and (the world's tiniest & dullest) bedside light.
