Overview
Just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Train Station’s Karasuma Gate, Hatoya Hotel offers Japanese-style rooms with an LCD TV and a private bath. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and relaxing massages can be requested for an extra cost. Guests can refresh in the public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths located on the top floor, after a long day of sightseeing. The traditional rooms at Hatoya Zuihokaku have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and Japanese-style futon bedding. All are air-conditioned, with a fridge and green tea and are completely non-smoking. Kyoto Tower is a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Kyoto Imperial Palace is a 7-minute subway ride, while Kiyomizu Temple is a 10-minute bus ride away. The hotel has a shop selling local items, and provides luggage storage at the front desk. A coin launderette is also available on site.

The front counter staff were exceptionally helpful and made us feel welcome from the time we arrived. Location is fabulous and close to the railway station. The public bath was great and facilities kept in good condition.

“Great stay in Kyoto, close to Kyoto station”
The location was awesome, Kyoto station is just a short walk away. There are also a few convenience stores nearby. The room was clean and the tatami added to the Japanese feel, we liked it a lot. There is a public bath available in the hotel though we did not have a chance to try it. The hotel staff were very helpful and handled everything for me when we wanted to send our luggage a hit to our next destination. A fantastic place to stay in Kyoto.

“Amazing hotel near Kyoto station with an amazing bar :)”
Very good location (right next to Kyoto station). Very friendly and helpful staff! Check-in was easy and the accommodation tax was mentioned before and during the booking process (so no surprise here in Kyoto). The room I stayed in (tatami corner room) was amazing. It’s really clean spacious. The bed is comfortable and clean. Toilet and shower are perfectly clean and modern. Amenities are provided. Air conditioning is working fine and helps during humid summers. I can really recommend the Annie Hall Bar on the first floor. Amazing staff and whisky!

Garden is magnificent. Large complex with great pool and onsen. Good for families. The pool does close early at 5pm.
