Overview
Just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Train Station, Hana Hostel offers basic accommodation with free Wi-Fi and a lounge with an LCD TV. Both private and shared rooms are available. All guests sleep on Japanese futon bedding, either on a tatami (woven-straw) floor in a private room or on a bunk bed frame in a dormitory room. Each room is air-conditioned. Soap and shampoo are provided, and towels can be rented. Kyoto Tower and Higashi Hongan-ji Temple are both a 5-minute walk from the hostel, and Nishi Hongan-ji Temple is a 15-minute walk. A convenience store is just a 1-minute walk away and a supermarket is a 3-minute walk away. Guests can cook at the free-use kitchen, which includes a microwave and an electric kettle. Two free-use internet PCs are on site, as is a coin launderette. No meals are served by the hostel.

“Terrible wifi, uncomfortable bedding & smelt weird.”
Staff are really kind and friendly, so thank you for that. Its a good hostel if you just want to have a roof over your head & make some friends. On the cheaper side which helps, location really good.

“Great Gem near Kyoto Station”
Great hostel, superb location near the station, walkable distance to the river and Gion, very equipped kitchen for cooking, nice seating area, wifi works good, staff is incredibly nice and helpful, speaks English well! Dorms tidy and next door to bathrooms, this made my stay in Kyoto incredibly convenient and warm, Thanks again for the beautiful smile and service you give daily!

Perfect location, very close to the Station and very easy to go to main turistic places. The dorm was very comfortable, with a very big personal space (I could even have my big backpack in the area outside my bed).

Comfy spacious bed, clean facilities. Kitchen and lounge to hang out. Friendly staff. Location wise, the station area is good for day trips, but feels a bit far from all the sightseeing spots in Kyoto itself.

“Perfect hostel to stay in Kyoto”
The couldnt ask for a better location and their hospitality. You are really close to Kyoto station by just underground walk. Restaurants, mall, convenient stores and bus station to go to landmarks just right outside. Nice up to date infos posting. Staffs are friendly, helpful and speak english well especially Tatsu san and another gent at the reception. Surely will stay there again when in Kyoto

“Excellent hostel”
The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. They have activities and useful information, and they are very friendly. The location is very convenient due to the main train station being so close. The facilities were comfortable and pleasant to be in. Very good experience overall.
