I adored our stay. Everything was perfect - the reception and all interactions with the owners were so helpful, sweet and kind. It's a small hotel, so you feel like a visitor at a home, not like an impersonal hotel guest. We were taken care of so well - and even despite the front desk being closed at night, the hosts woke up at night to let us out for a sunrise tour. Breakfasts were exceptional, rooms were spacious, location is excellent. And when one of us forgot a mobile battery in the room, the owners were quick to notice and send this to us. Really appreciate our stay, would return in a heartbeat the next time we're in Kyoto!

This place is very convenient, close to Nishiki market and other shopping places. It is close to the station, so u can easily access Gion and other shrines. It's a very clean and beautiful place. The owner is very kind.

Everyone at the ryoken was so lovely and accommodating. The room was super comfortable and the breakfast amazing. The location is steps away from Nishiki Market so you can duck in and get some tenghulu or matcha ice cream on your way out or back. But really the owners and staff were the stand outs. I cant rate them highly enough.

“A Pretty Hotel in a Great Location”

The hotel is in a prime location. It's right next to the most charming markets and major shopping malls. The hotel is lovely with an inviting lobby. The staff is kind and accommodating. It's a big, clean, spacious room.

Awesome location if you are keen on being near the market in Kyoto. After a day or two, the novelty of that wore off. The staff could not have been more welcoming and charming!

Our hosts were super lovely and helpful. Fabulous location in walking distance of markets, restaurants, cafes and good shopping. Very quiet location. Onsen was a bonus which was really enjoyed. Nice modern bathroom.

Top place with very warm welcome family

We took a private room with bathroom and it was extremely comfortable and spacious. The Kagihei is located in a very chilled area with nice bars and coffee and 1min far away from the local food market and central area. There is also a private hot bath that you can use until 11pm, perfect to take before going to sleep. Definitely recommended, good money deal and positive experience overall.
