“Beautiful luxury hotel in the heart of Kyoto”
This hotel was in an excellent location in the Gion district. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I was grateful for the umbrellas on hand for guests. The rooms were excellent with large comfortable king singles as I was travelling with my son. Loved the free happy hour in the afternoons for a nice pre dinner drink and a chat with other travellers.

“Good stay”
The hotel is very nice, in a good location. It's quiet and peaceful in the evenings. The rooms are comfortable, and the service is very good. We'll gladly return on our next visit to Kyoto.

“Lovely, quiet hotel for a traditional Onsen / dining weekend away”
The layout and design of the room was a mix of traditional Japanese and modern Western architecture. The rooftop terrace with the private Onsen overlooking the valley was the spectacular highlight. The in-room breakfast and dining was spectacular (the kitchen has one Michelin Star).

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful! The hotel and room is very nice with a very great Onsen. The breakfast as well, though a bit more expensive, is buffet style and has a variety of amazing food. The location was around a 10 mins walk from the train station and also very close to many shopping districts and restaurants. We had a great stay here!

Excellent atmosphere, with a great, friendly, and professional staff. The location is perfect - quiet, yet conveniently close to all the main attractions. The kitchen is excellent as well. Thank you for your outstanding service and assistance, especially on our last day when we were leaving the hotel for the central station. You truly made our day and helped ensure a smooth journey to our next destination.

Location was perfect. Our room was the best we have stayed in for a long while. Comfortable bed and pillows. Really loved the sand sculptures on the beach. Enjoyed the street food as well as restaurants.

Very central in Gion, nice local selection for breakfast. Very friendly staff. Room a bit on the smaller side given the price point.
