“Good hotel in a great location for foodies and shopping”

Sensational location.....right amongst the action ! Breakfast buffet downstairs at Il Chianti was quite good. Hotel facilities very clean. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Coffee machine in the lobby was good also. Maiko show was a real bonus. Easy walking distance to Pontocho Alley and Gion district.

Location was really good, on the main road full of shops and restaurants, nishiki market is a walking distance. Station also close by. Hotel had good facilities a lounge room which had tea coffee and seating areas.

Great location close to everything, right on the Main Street. Had cute matcha kit for a tea ceremony. Activites in the main lobby and a lounge for guests. Good ammenities. Kept our luggage for a long time after checkout

Best hotel I've ever been. Best location, Ryokan style but modern rooms, very good breakfast, helpful staff, every day free events in the afternoon I.e. calligraphy writing, geisha dance, karate fight show. Perfect for stay few days or longer.

Loved staying here. The staff were so helpful even allowed to check in early as our room was ready when we arrived. They have sitting area downstairs which you can chill in and have free drinks (coffee, hot/cold water, tea) which was so thoughtful. They have all the necessary essentials by the lobby if you’re running low on toothbrush, paste, shampooo, etc. The staff were so helpful with every request. I forgot the name of the lovely guy who helped us transfer our bags from Kyoto to Tokyo. It was the most convenient and easiest process - definitely recommend it. The rooms were decent. Beds were comfortable and clean. The location the hotel is located is AMAZING. So close to many shopping district. So many restaurants nearby especially if you’re after halal cuisines - so easy to get by. It was near a train and bus stations. Totally recommend staying here if you’re visiting Kyoto

Central location, great breakfast

A solid base for exploring Kyoto - the location near Kawaramachi is convenient for transport and sightseeing. The stay itself was comfortable and the rooms were fine. A decent choice if you're mostly out exploring, but don't expect much from the hotel itself.

This property was fantastic. The location was excellent. The rooms well appointed and quiet from any street noise. The hotel staff were so helpful and each night they hosted a cultural event. Really amazing stay in Kyoto.

The hotel is centrally located, between the Nishiki market and the river. Access to the hotel is a very discreet entrance from the main road and rooms were very quite. Breakfast is served in the Italian restaurant next door and had a wide selection of hot and cold items. Hotel has daily cultural demonstration in the lobby and was able to catch the end of the Maiko demonstration.
