It was such a beautiful room, cosy, comfy bed, AC, shower & bath and a tv. Better than all that it’s located near lots of temples and shrines, basically right next to a station for easy access to other parts of Kyoto. It was great.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, close to the center, but in a quiet area, the room was clean and equipped with everything we needed, and the staff was very kind and helpful. Thank you for your hospitality and we hope to return in the future. We highly recommend it.

Lovely boutique hotel located in a very local Japanese neighbourhood. Located right next to a small shopping street, wandering the area will give you an idea of what day to day Japanese life is. Basic English is spoken, keep your level of English appropriate to the staff's level and you will have no problems.

Staff were super helpful, perfect location in Kyoto. Rooms clean, no smells in rooms, not too cramped inside, bathrooms were amazing.

Nice hotel in a strategic position. Kyoto was great and we really enjoyed our stay here. The old lady from the staff was super gentle and apoke very good english.

Pretty decent hotel overall, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and the location was great - tucked away in a quiet little street but close to subway and an easy 10 minute walk to Gion.

Excellent location - nestled amongst laneways and the canal. Really handy to both bus and train and walking distance from Gion.

Staff were SO very attentive, reminding us to borrow an umbrella when there was rain forecasted and always wishing us well when we went out for the day and then greeting us when we got back. Beautiful location in the quiet, traditional old area of Higashiyama with a gorgeous stream at the end of the street.

The hotel was very beautiful. Everything was spotless and perfectly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower felt like a private onsen in each room. Truly an exceptional experience.
