Clean, beautiful boutique hotel, great location

The hotel is in an excellent location, super close to Gion street but in a quite area. It is convenient to go around central Kyoto. The room was amazing, very spacious, with attention to detail, with great amenities that you feel really comfortable - like home. The shared areas (lobby) are also of a great taste. We used the private baths, which was a great experience. Also, the people there were very kind, willing to help and make you feel nice. Definitely recommend it. I already miss my stay there!

“Everything was perfect”

Everything was perfect, the room size, the bathroom with a jacuzzi, the beauty products provided (lotion, cream, oil, etc...), and even a hair straightener :) The Lounge is super nice to chill after a day of walking, the sake provided free of charge was excellent, the staff super helpful

“Bliss!”

This beautiful little hotel was truly wonderful. We expected it to be good based on recommendations, but it was beyond a doubt the best place we stayed on our current trip - and we stayed in some good ones. It looked stunning, with its minimalist Japanese design, and offered lovely little extras, such as drinks in the lounge which also had a fabulous collection of books on Japanese design and culture, the private bath (on top of the one in our room), free pastries for breakfast or an inexpensive delicious Japanese breakfast. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, without being obtrusive - things just happened gently and quietly as needed.

“Modern take on traditional comforts.”

Excellent location in Gion, a stone’s throw from main sites like Kiyomizudera, Ninenzaka, and Kodaiji Temple. The staff are extremely friendly and hospitable. The breakfast pastries and coffee/matcha in the morning are a lovely touch.

“Wonderful, book it!”

We had the spa suite and it was wonderful. The outside bath, inside spa, stone sauna room were a nice way to unwind after the usual 20,000 steps a day in Japan!

Exceptionally clean with good facilities. Staff very helpful esp the lady who speaks fluent Chinese, which is valuable in China

Everything! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the lobby beautifully designed, as soon as you enter you feel like in a beautiful tea garden, the rooms spotlessly clean and aesthetically designed, we enjoyed the free drinks and amenities, Jacuzzi and also the hot stone spa. Great location and it hurt to leave. Would choose anytime again! Thank you!

Great location in Gion, on the same street as Kennin-ji zen temple. Huge room for Japan. Amazing shower. Free laundry. Free tea, coffees, water, juice, pot noodle. The sauna and hot tub were great ( and extra £25 but for 90 minutes, private that’s not bad).

Amazing Location right in Gion.

A wonderfully stylish and perfectly located hotel in Gion. Whilst the hotel has a 3* rating it offers comfort and service of much more. The drop in scores is due to a few minor factors, such as less regular room servicing, no breakfast facility and so on. Amazing bathroom, with deep whirlpool bath, and a shower I could stay in for hours. Extremely comfy bed too! The stone and wood spa rooms worth a visit and bliss after a day pounding the pavements!

“Luxurious hotel at reasonable price”

The location is top notch, the hotel is very calm and relaxing; rooms are big for Japanese standards, even for European standards. We stayed in the “simplest” room which had a mini hallway separated by a door, the bedroom with tatami floors and a bathroom unit which had separate entries to toilet and bath/shower. There are relaxation rooms (free), laundry rooms and private spas (steam/hot stone + mini onsen; 90min for 5000JPY) on the 4th floor. The personell is very kind and helpful. Overall an amazing hotel, if I visit Kyoto again, I will be staying here for sure!
