The whole decoration is really warm and comfortable. The hot water in the roof was considerate as it was relaxing to have a warm bath during trip.

The hotel staff is exceptional. The accommodations are great. The food is very good.

Wonderful staff that helped us in drastical situation, and provided such help and level of hospitality that can be seen only in Japan Beds in hotel is so good that is quite a challenge to get from it morning:) And location is perfect for Kyoto trip when you come there for your first times

Our welcome was exceptional. The staff came out into the street to greet us. We had a lovely welcome tea and checked in. The room was lovely and the design elements are very well thought out. The bedding is exceptionally comfortable and made me fall asleep instantly. I would like to mention specially the director and the front desk staff who were extremely helpful for a personal matter and who facilitated my task. The staff is extremely warm and to be honest even though I stayed a single night it felt like being « home ». Thank you 🙏🏼

“Welcoming and relaxing”

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff and luxuriously soft beds. I arrived early in the morning and the staff happily stored my suitcase so I could go sightseeing. When I returned my suitcase was already in my room, check in was smooth and I felt very welcome. My room was beautiful, although it overlooked the road, I could not hear a sound. Supersoft room pyjamas, socks and flipflops were provided. The rooftop bath was incredible, I used it in the evening, after a day of hiking. Also a great location if you are taking the metro, a very short walk and easy with a suitcase.

What impressed us most was how thoughtfully every detail was curated, from the warm welcome during check-in to the carefully selected amenities in our room, the evening drinks service, and especially the serene open-air bath experience. The traditional architecture and peaceful atmosphere in the Higashiyama district created the perfect authentic Kyoto experience.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect! It is right next to an underground station and it's walking distance from Gion and a bunch of other temples. On top of that it's situated in really nice area. That makes it great for exploring around and shopping for gifts. The hotel has a very Japanese feel, which contributes to the overall positive cultural experience in Kyoto. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
