The home was very clean and well maintained. The hospitality if the host was amazing. We were given a tour of the property and an insight into what is around Kyoto/the area. The space was cosy, good for a group of 8. It is a short walk away from the city centre and a 1 minute walk from a pharmacy, supermarket and some restaurants. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit Kyoto.

1) There is someone there welcome us (6pax) and brief us about the house and facilities. Provdied very good customer service and speak good english. I think her name is Bonnie if i remember correctly. 2) Very responsive from Yumi (the manager) during both pre checkin and post checkout. Even contacted me when my son left a watch after checkout. 3) The unit was very clean. We stay for 3 nights. And there is someone came in after 2 nights to clean the house and replenish clean towels. 4) True japanese feel stays. In the local areas with many local stores and food.

Gojo Miyabi Inn is a beautiful, traditional-style townhouse perfectly located near the heart of Kyoto, a few minutes by public transport from Kyoto Station. It’s spacious enough for six people with luggage and offers a peaceful, authentic vibe. Huge thanks to Yumi for her clear instructions, late-hour support, and helpful tips about local events. The house was spotless and full of charm: highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Kyoto!

“Truly one of the best places we’ve stayed in Japan!”

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our lovely host, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She even gave us tailored tips for Kyoto based on our travel plans, which made our trip even more special. We also really appreciated how flexible they were with our arrival time — it took a lot of stress out of our travel day. Another big plus: the host speaks English, which made communication super easy and smooth. The beds were incredibly comfortable — despite being on tatami mats, we slept like babies on the futons. The shower was also excellent, with great water pressure and perfect temperature control. The service was outstanding: fresh sheets, clean towels, and the bins were regularly emptied. Everything was spotless and well taken care of. We would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended! One of the best stays we’ve had in Japan — everything was just perfect.

“A must stay in Kyoto. Fantastic”

We had the best stay here. 2 couples, 3 nights. We were met by the property manager Yumi at an arranged time. She spoke fantastic English and was cheerful and informative. We did a couple of her suggestions including spending the day away from Crowds in a local park. It was most enjoyable. She was also able to tell Is where there several Cherry blossoms in full bloom as they were quite scarce at the time. Thank you Yumi for making our time so enjoyable. This property is everything it says it is and more . Loved it

Great location, super host, very comfortable and spacious. Loved that Yumi could help us plan our itinerary and the restaurant suggestions were much appreciated. Washing machine and two toilets were very handy.

Lots of space, great location within easy walking to central Kyoto and subway. Very helpful and nice host who was very responsive. She helped with our luggage transfer and gave us lots of great tips for the area :)
