This is very good for a capsule hotel. Comfortable, quiet and in a great location in Kyoto.

Podhotel, perfectly located close to the subway and close to Gion. Perfect for reach temples and also for evening. The hotel is very clean. And very friendly staff

Great hotel. Room was large enough for us and our two large suitcases and had a bath as well. Fabulous location with a comfy, clean room.

“Mostly good stay at modern pod hostel in Kawaramachi”

Mostly good stay at modern capsule hostel at a great location in Kawaramachi. Mattress was comfortable. Place was very clean and towels were replaced every day. Good shower pressure and large lockers. The entire time I was there the floor I was on was only ever a quarter full so it was very quiet, which I liked.

“Horrible experience”

The most uncomfortable experience I've ever had in many years traveling. They don't allow you to stay with your luggage in the room, so, if it doesn't fit the locker (narrow) you must leave your luggage at the reception!!! A receptionist went to my room and grabbed my suitcase to leave downstairs, to my surprise, before I knew about this rule. So they will touch and move your stuff, without asking. I had to leave my suitcase on my bed all days so I could reach my stuff. Horrible experience. And they didn't speak English at all, so it was a really difficult situation. Very modern and lots of silly rules that make all your stay very bad. A big room that was all days empty, like 30 beds and 6 people, and still you can only CHECK IN AFTER 5PM!!!!! And no toilets available for guests arriving earlier. "There's a mall on the corner" was the woman's answer. And my bed was the last one, near an open area of employees, only separated by a curtain, so it was very noisy, I could hear them taking, making noises, even late night. Would definitely not recommend.

I had only 1 night stay in Kyoto but this was the perfect solution for me. I would also recommend this for the type of people who just need a place to crash for a few hours and are outside majority of the day.

Staff working very hard to keep facilities clean. Superb location. Good capsule size; availability of tiny separate rooms (I didn't use but it's a good idea). Also, mixed sex floor - if you travel with a partner, perhaps you can stay in the same floor.
