Just 2 mins walk to the Gojo subway station; walking distance to Kawaramachi shopping area with plenty of eating options nearby as well. Also walking distance (about 17mins) to Kyoto Station if you want to clock some steps! Very spacious room, which is a rare thing in Japan. We could open both our 30" and 28" luggage at the same time! Very comfortable place to stay for longer term as there is a small kitchenette with most tools and utensils provided to cook simple meals, if needed. I also liked the good quality toiletries provided, felt quite luxurious. Great house keeping team and front desk staff made the stay even better.

The location of this hotel, 1.5 minutes from the local train station, is absolute perfection. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and we were very comfortable for our stay. The staff were most helpful.

The location was right by the train line and walking distance to temples, shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

“A wonderful change of (s)pace!”

From the welcoming entry, to the friendly and English-proficient staff; this hotel was a fantastic change of (s)pace from shoebox hotels I had stayed in at Osaka + Hiroshima just days before. Right next to Gojo station and offering generously spacious rooms with a kitchenette, large bed, youtube/netflix compatible tv and a sizable bath - I had a wonderful stay at Citadines Kyoto!

“Great facilities and location!”

Great location and facilities! Rooms were clean and it really felt like we were coming home. It’s a 10min walk to Kyoto station, 15mins to the central shopping district/nishiki market. Alternatively, the city bus no. 80 bus stop is just a 3min walk from the hotel.

“Comfortable roomy studio near the subway”

Good size studio with everything you need for basic self catering. Really comfortable beds and pillow! A smart TV so you can catch up with Netflix or do some research on YouTube. Staff were welcoming and very helpful with lots of information about what to do nearby. Several dining options nearby from fast food to local casual spots. 2 mins walk to Gojo subway stop - 1 or 2 stops to the main shopping area although we walked it most days in about 17minutes. 10 minutes walk to Kyoto Station. Also a number of bus stops nearby.

Compared to other hotels, the best. Large room, clean, tidy, cleaned daily, quiet. You can eat cheaply and deliciously nearby. Good connection.

Breakfast is not good. Both the breakfast area and the food is not up to standard.

It was near a lot of shops, and close to the subway station. The ammenities were excellent, and so was the service. The room looked clean and provided a lot of good function.
