“Wonderful”

We had a wonderful stay at Buddha House. The location was excellent, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores within walking distance. We also really appreciated the bicycles that were available to use, which made exploring the area even more enjoyable. The house itself was very spacious and spread across three floors, giving everyone plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped with many useful appliances and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals when needed. The coffee machine was great and the Nescafé Gold coffee provided was surprisingly enjoyable. The bathroom was comfortable and having two separate toilets was very convenient. The bedrooms were pleasant and quiet, with no noticeable noise from the street during the night. Overall, the property offered great comfort, a practical layout, and an excellent location. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

We had a wonderful time at Budha House. The accommodation is prepared with great care and attention to detail. It is as living in part home, part café, part museum. The owner thought really of everything and left many things for us to use, including bicycles.

Love the location, and everything in general. Everything was perfect for me and my family. There was 5 adults and 1 child and so much space for us to move around. Love that there was a washer and dryer for our clothes. The communication as well was perfect whenever we needed anything we always go an answer back. Everything was clean and lovely. We would definitely recommend this place.

“The perfect place in Kyoto for our group”

This property was perfect for our group of 6. It was awesome having 2 toilets and bikes to explore Kyoto. It’s also right near a bus stop for easy access around Kyoto. One of the rooms was traditional and the other two had western bedding. The main room had a very comfortable bed. We also loved having washing facilities. The downstairs room was pretty cool with books and spots to sit and relax. We were also greeted at the apartment, which was a lovely touch. Although the steps are very steep, we worked with the younger members of the party to cart luggage. If you have mobility issues or find stairs that are steep to be an issue, this would not be suitable to stay at. Thank you for having us. We loved our stay here!

“Has everything you need”

We can’t fault this hotel. It has everything we needed, plenty of space for our family of 4 including 2 tall teenagers. The beds were so comfortable and the washer dryer was an absolute bonus. The host was always quick to respond and was very kind and considerate when our daughter was ill. Would definitely stay again.

Location, size (for Japan staying inner-city), the available pedal bike's we used often! The atmosphere was nice. It is not a new building, but all was clean and in good condition. We loved it, especially the "relax room" downstairs! Good airconditioning and kitchen facilities!

We loved our stay here and the use of the bikes. We rode to Fushimi Inari which was an amazing experience. We loved the extra touches like the free water bottles etc. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Nice to stay in a japanese house, feelt like a home, in a nice way. Easy check in in advance. Very cleare messages about transportation, rules, how things work in the house (washing machine etc). When we accidentely ran in to trubble twice our host very quickley answerd our mail and did his best to help us. Outstanding host, even though we never met him.

Staying in a Japanese house opposed to a hotel. Location was excellent. Kind and responsive host. AND there was a second toilet on ground floor, which we did not see in the description of the house and was my big concern as a family of 5 adults getting ready to leave in the mornings.

house very clean ,in a good location ,owner very nice and all communication was easy ,we had stayed there before so new what to expect, you can use the bikes for free which there I think is 6 in total.the price of the accommodation is good value ,it's quite close to the train station so no need for a taxi.
