After a long drive to sit on our apartments private balcony and enjoy the lake and the bird sounds was wonderful. The bonus then came with the excellent dinner, and the included and excellent breakfast. The sauna was excellent.

“Great place to go skiing in Ruka”
The room was comfy and warm on arrival, we had a chance to get the key a bit earlier, they are helpful and flexible. Having a sauna and jacuzzi was a nice addition, great variety breakfast.

“A hidden gem, perfect for a stay around Kuusamo”
Very welcoming place to stay, comfortable beds, spacious room and the owner (who is also the chef) makes you feel right at home. The restaurant is simple but the food is fantastic, a fusion of traditional Finnish and Asian cuisine - a real gourmet treat (and well worth a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel)! “Pro tip”: you can ask to buy a loaf of the home made malt bread that is served with the starters in the restaurant.

The hotel is located in a beautiful wide peaceful lakeside environment. The building is neat and very well kept, and so is the property all around. The quadruple room was fantastic: large, comfy, with a stunning lake view. The cleanliness was excellent, far above the finnish average standards. Breakfast, served in the beautiful main building, was excellent. The staff is kind and welcoming as can be. Price was very fair. It was a pity to stay just 1 night!!

Wonderful room with a direct view of the lake. The owner changed my room from a first floor room to ground floor as soon as he saw I had a motorbike in order that I could park undercover right outside my room….excellent! Great food evening and breakfast, on a balcony overlooking the lake.

“Lovely overnight stop with magnificent lake views”
A family business. Excellent service and delicious food from the owner. Lovely views. Very comfortable beds in a spacious room. The mats could be a little cleaner, but nothing that a wash won’t fix. We really enjoyed our stay and would stop there overnight again if we were passing. A lovely friendly place.

We stayed here overnight at both the start and end of our holiday as the hotel is conveniently located for Kuusamo airport, while also being in a scenic and peaceful area. The hotel owner kindly kept the restaurant open late on our first night, as we had a late flight arrival. He also kindly provided packed breakfast to eat in our room on our second stay, as we were departing early. The food was very nice - we would recommend the reindeer burger. The room was very well equipped and the beds were comfortable.
