“A pretty run down, tired place.”
Felt very run down and not very clean inside. Thin walls so easy to overhear those in the adjacent room. Thankfully we only had to stay there briefly for one night. Staff seemed nice enough though.

“Great Hotel”
Hotel Asian Empire was a great place to stay. A friendly and helpful welcome. The room was perfect for my stay. All was clean and tidy. Safe storage for my bicycle was available . A comfortable bed . Location was good. Used as a base to view the Tour of Flanders. Easy walking distance to Kortrijk. Plenty of food availability in the area. Would recommend this hotel.

“Incredibly underrated obscure retro gem.”
Absolutely loved this peculiar roadside time-capsule hotel which I don’t think has had any renovation for 20 years plus. Long dark mysterious corridors with barely functioning appliances, simple design, a huge and unused dining room closed for more than 2 years and it’s super friendly and mild mannered owner. It’s a bit like your grandmothers house complete with cockerel to wake you up at dawn.
