“If you stay in Kutchan, tabi-tsumugi is the perfect place to do so !!”

Everything was perfect ! The hostel is really clean, comfortable and cozy. A lot of small details make a difference and your stay great. Ryo, the host, is really kind and friendly. I had an amazing stay at Tabi-tsumugi !

“Amazing host and homely vibe”

Ryo is an amazing host. He provides a drop off service to Hirafu in the morning and has lots of great recommendations for the area. He keeps the hostel clean and the hostel vibe is super chill and friendly. Absolutely enjoyed my stay and had a lovely time. It's not too far from Kutchan station and there is a coop supermarket nearby.

“A truly wonderful place to stay.”

Ryo was an incredibly kind and welcoming host. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I had a wonderful stay and definitely choose to stay here again in the future. Ryo, I've already returned to my workplace in Korea, but I already find myself missing Kutchan. I hope to see you again next winter.

Ryo is a fantastic host, he goes above and beyond to ensure that guests have a great experience. The accomodation is spotlessly clean! Ryo answered all of my questions before and during my stay. He really is a kind person who clearly works in hospitality to make people happy!

Great living area with a full kitchen.

I loved everything about the place~ The owner, Ryo san, was super kind and helpful~ He drove me to the hiking trail 3:30 in the morning! And he also offered to take my bike in his car to the trailhead, so I could cycle around after my hike~ The sleeping area was spacious and well designed~ lots of storage space! The common area was comfortable to relax in too~~ I’ll definitely come back again!

Good facilities and near Kutchan station. The best part was Ryo-san, who drove us to and from Mt. Yotei and gave us recommendations for dinner.

“Warm, cosy place and wonderful encounters !”

I felt right at home, everything was very clean and cosy, and I met the nicest people during my stay. That includes of course Ryo-san who cooked us all nabe for my first evening, and took us twice to the onsen during my stay. I hope to be back in Kutchan soon to visit again :) thank you !

“This place felt like home”

Very friendly atmosphere with a wonderful host. I was only there for a few days but it felt like home from the day I arrived. Rooms/beds were also nice and spacious.

“The best backpackers in kutchan”

The host is the nicest man you'll ever meet. The price is really good for the size of the bed you get and the communal space is amazing, allowing you to cook food and hang out. And not to mention the free shuttle every morning to niseko united. I wouldn't stay anywher

The hospitality

I loved everything about the place! Nice location, as it's close to the train station, a convenience store, and a supermarket. There's also a small (and very affordable) ski resort nearby that is perfect for beginner skiers/snowboarders who want to do some practice runs before trying the pricier resorts in Niseko. The place was kept clean by the host (Ryo-san), who was simply great. He made the atmosphere so relaxed and welcoming for everyone that it didn't feel like I was among strangers. Wouldn't hesitate to book this place again if I'm ever back in the area.

“A winter at Tabi filled with unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships”

A really cozy and welcoming hostel with wonderful facilities (kitchen, dry room, showers). The host Ryo makes a huge effort to make me feel taken care of and comfortable during my stay by providing shuttle to the mountain, cooking us dinner, cleaning our rooms etc. Everyone I met at Tabi was kind, friendly and so accepting of each other, there really is a family vibe here that cannot be found anywhere else. I will definitely be back at Tabi next winter

This place definitely lives up to its reviews, Ryo is a fantastic host who is so accomodating to everyone!!! I felt very well looked after and also the other guests here are awesome, I had so much fun and will definitely miss Tabi-tsumugi (hopefully will be back one day!!!)

“Just Superb!”

Rio san!!! ありがとうございます！！！ This place is really amazing Very beautiful, with a view to mount Yotei, tatami mattress in the rooms, a comfortable bed, and comfortable shared space which includes a kitchen with everything you'll need and even a cultural tatami salon. very clean too! The place is really close to the train and bus station (a nice short walk), which makes it easy if you don't have a car. Also, the nighboring house is a sake distillery! I stayed in the shared room and it was great 😁 But non of the above compares to the amazing hospitality of the owner, Rio, who actually does everything for the best of his guests!!! You are an amazing person and your treatment made my staying superb! Thank you very very much

“Lovely hostel with nice staff”

I loved this hostel! It was very clean, the staff was nice and friendly and the space of the bed is huge! Very quiet for summer season I guess, but in that moment It was what I needed.

Everything was exceptional, Ryo the owner did more than enough to help with everything
