The place is great and features a traditional onsen. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a bit of a walk from Yubatake, but it’s nice and quiet. Also, there’s a convenience store located right across from the property.

“Incredible stay!”
This was hands down one of the best stays we have had in our three different trips to Japan over the years. The staff were amazing, the room was huge and so comfortable and the breakfast was incredible. The private onsens onsite were gorgeous and great for my partner who is quite heavily tattooed so often has a hard time being allowed into onsens in Japan. Note, the rooms don’t have showers as it’s expected you’ll use the public onsen but they do have a toilet and a sink. Only thing to note is it’s slightly out of the center of town, but we had a rental car. Will absolutely return - highlight stay of our trip.

Beautiful Ryokan with a great host. The private onsens were great and because there aren't many guests, we never had to wait for one. Breakfast was lovely, and our host even allowed us to take some food back to our room when one of us was feeling unwell. Fantastic experience.

Lovely Ryokan on the fringe of Kusatsu Onsen. Nice quite location but has a 7/11 across the road and a couple of eateries nearby. In house onsen is a great addition, and the Japanese breakfast was filling and delicious.

“Very unique experience”
Everything was fantastic. The ladies that greeted us were so adorable, the room vas spacious and very clean. We could choose the color of yukata and we could go to town and public onsens in it, also had baskets for towels. Breakfast is another experience in privet room that has a view on small garden. And charming older lady serves breakfast with many delicious thing in small plates. location for us vas perfect, ryokan is close to the Otaki no yu onsen, which we loved the most, and to Yubatake is 13 minutes walk.

The breakfast was excellent! I think it was a very traditional Japanese breakfast. The location was good. There is a 7-11 across the street and a few local restaurants nearby. It’s within walking distance (about 15 minutes) to Yubatake. AC was good even in the hot summer we were experiencing during our stay.
