The room was spacious, the location was excellent. Comfortable parking. We were given yukatas and slippers to walk in town. The onsen was open all day and night though the water was very hot.

Looove kusatsu. The accommodation is very nice and clean. Just great. Super nice staff and very traditional Japanese style Breakfast to the room.

Our stay at this property was perfect! It is located in front of the exit of the bus station and 3 minutes on foot to the city center where there are all the shops and the famous open bath. The room is very big with a confortable king bed and it has all the amenities you need. There is even a Nespresso coffee machine and some tea bags. The room was perfectly clean and they also give you a yukata to wear in the room or to go around wearing it. In the room there is no shower but you can find it in the onsen or at the ground floor. They also serve breakfast in your room according to which time you prefer and it is very tasty! There is also a private onsen inside the property which is super nice and it was very clean and perfectly mantained. The onsen are separated for men and women but since it is private there is no restrictions for tattoos. I absolutely recommend it. I will choose this place again when I go back to Japan!

Very clean ryokan, 3 minutes from from the Yubatake and just across from the bus station. The rooms are really lovely and and the beds are comfortable. Being above a Lawsons is also great for the ritual pre nighttime konbini stop 😁. The in house Onsen is lovely.

Great sized room, fantastic location and the staff were first class. The Onsen and traditional breakfast were great addition to the experience. Free parking in the town was also very welcome.

Everything was amazing. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Spacious room, great breakfast, bus station and Lawson right next to the accommodation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The friendly, calm atmosphere of the Oyado Yukizumi hits you as soon as you enter. The staff were all fantastic and accommodated the needs of my travel partner with limited mobility. I misplaced my phone and after I made my police report the owner of Yukizumi made contact with them multiple times (without my asking) to check up on things for me. A true feeling of family and looking out for each other. My phone was returned right as we were leaving and the staff sent us on our journey making the contact with police that it was recovered. Such a wonderful group of people I cannot thank enough. Breakfast was served in our room at a time of our choice, once again just so lovely. Very different to any breakfasts I had experienced & also one of the best on my journey. The room was one of the biggest we came across in our time travelling through Japan and the convenience of their own hot baths was fantastic Perfect location accross from the bus terminal and a fantastic restaurant next door, not forgetting the convenience of the Lawsons at the front of the building. Highly recommended.

“Comfortable stay with good breakfast”

The location is superb - a short walk to the Yubatake and a Lawson underneath. They also have private parking although limited spots. You need to leave your cat key with them as it is a double parking. The place is clean and the breakfast is lovely. I really enjoyed the 2 nights stay here.

“Phenomenal”

Phenomenal stay in Kusatsu. Comfortable, beautiful, spacious, onsen is essentially always private from my experience, fantastic breakfast every morning. Much larger room than the average Japanese stay. During our stay we saw many people lugging suitcases throughout town for other stays, but when you're staying here you can drop them off within a minute of leaving the bus station and get started on enjoying Kusatsu. This comes in handy when you're leaving too, you're at the bus immediately and without having to drag luggage through the Yubatake area.

I loved the location, although it was alittle difficult to find, it was very convenient being right outside of the bus station. Staff were super nice, private onsens were very clean and breakfast service was very good.

The breakfast, as mentioned in other reviews, is delicious and appetizing. The hotel is also very conveniently located next to the bus station.

The convenience to the touristy area. Right next to the bus station and public parking area. Walking distance to the main onsen street. Amazing breakfast and welcome dessert. Comfortable public bath.

Attentive friendly staff, went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. The rooms and common areas including public bath were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the room was a nice touch. Rooms were huge for Japan standards, and there was plenty of storage for clothing. Location was right opposite the bus station which was very convenient, and the main township was only 5-10 min walk. There is a Lawson right downstairs!

Exceptional hotel - one of our favorite stays in four weeks of travelling through Japan. Very sad that we only stayed for one night. The staff is amazing and very kind, and everything in the hotel is run with great care and passion. The breakfast was a mixture of japanese and western style, but prepared with such finesse it looked like a piece of art. Bonus points: there was also coffee available for breakfast which we did not get in any other Ryokan in Japan :D The room itself was modern and clean. The location is also fantastic, just a few hundred meters away from Yubutake - the heart of Kusatsu Onsen.
