Overview
Boasting various indoor hot spring baths, Kusatsu-onsen Hotel Resort is situated on the hilltop looking out to surrounding mountains. Table tennis facilities and arcade games are available for guests’ entertainment. Free 5-minute shuttles to/from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal are offered. Featuring a relaxing ambience, all rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an electric kettle. Both Japanese-style rooms with futon bedding and carpeted rooms with Western beds are offered. The en suite bathroom comes with a bath tub and free toiletries. While staying at Hotel Resort Kusatsu-onsen, guests can unwind in the bathing area. A gift shop with local sweets and souvenirs is available on site. The property is a 5-minute drive to Kusatsu International Ski Resort and a 5-minute drive to Yubatake hot spring. Guests can use JR bus from Naganohara Kusatsuguchi Station to Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal Station. The property is offering free shuttle bus from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal Station to the property, 5 minutes bus ride. Parking space is located next to the property.

“Amazing place for Onsen adventure!”
Amazing hot springs available in the hotel, variety of mineral waters to choose from, big public bath and an outdoor bath. Staff very helpful and kind. Spacious rooms. Wide variety of food for supper and breakfast including both Japanese and western cuisine, great desserts including ice cream, beautiful view. Amazing pizza, onigiri, sashimi, multiple soy sauces to choose from. Yukata and haori available as well as baskets and outdoor shoes - allowing to go for Onsen walk in the city in comfortable outfit which adds to the charm. Shuttle bus to city centre and sister hotels available for free as well as pass to other hotels’ hot baths. Tekkyubin available, hotel shop, small arcade games room, huge manga library, and ping pong rental

“Good glimpse at local onsen resort”
Good public onsen in the hotel, good breakfast, toilet in the room. View at the garden but it is nothing exceptional, maybe at higher floors you have better view (we were on the 2nd floor). Kusatsu onsen is a small town, it takes around 15m walking to get to the city centre. They also have shuttle bus. But there are also options right in the city centre, from the same chain. Not bad for the price though.

The hotel is newly renovated so the place is so comfy and in modern standard. The meals are offered in buffet setting so that you can enjoy the local delicacies in 90 mins. Noodles are also served in the evening after onsen. The outdoor onsen is pretty and chilled.

“Great hotel and onsen, very traditional experience!”
Massive hotel which has been refurbished. Our room was huge, one of the biggest we’ve stayed across Japan. Main areas were not heated so can get chilly. The onsen was incredible especially the outdoor one when snowing. Nice stroll to main area or you can get their complimentary shuttle to yubatake or the bus terminal.

Loved the location, it’s a short walk down the hill to the main town and the hotel provide a free shuttle. The onsen was a bonus!

Very good onsen, big, indoor & outdoor pools, sauna, onsen water of very good quality. A big and clean room with a very good view. Frequent shuttle to town center.

“Lovely hotel with a beautiful onsen built in, a 10 minute walk from town.”
Very nice accommodation with a lovely onsen built in. There is a shuttle bus service which is perfect but it's also not a long walk from the town centre.
