Konoha Hotel offers hot springs facilities and rooms with free internet access. It features a sake bar and a free shuttle bus to the centre of Kusatsu. “An excellent getaway result with top food and omens for an authentic Japanese experience”
Superb onsens with cold, warm, hot, indoor and outdoor. The entire hotel is shoes off which is very nice. The complimentary food at various hours of the day is a great treat! The shuttle bus to and from town runs reasonably often. The meals are fantastic! Big win there. The private onsens are a delight.

Public and private onsen where wonderful. Room was comfortable, breakfast was good, plenty of selection. Easy walk in and out of town and shuttle bus was easy.

Overall property exceed my expectations, photos on booking don't make justice to this place, it is amazing! Common onsens are very beautiful, especially outdoor ones, they also change lady/gentlemen sides each day so you can experience all of them! Private onsens option is just amazing! You don't need to book it so there is no rush, just check if it's free and go. Water in all baths has different temperatures also. There is also variety of free snacks and hotel providers clothes to use inside.

“Amazing ryokan with beautiful territory, great onsen and relaxing atmosphere”
This one was one of the best ryokan experiences! The territory is very beautiful, I loved the design of the common zones. The onsen is amazing, I think it was one of the best ryokan onsens I have ever been to. The water is very good, and there is a variety of baths. There is free coffee, soft drinks and ice cream depending on the time of the day

The hotel did a great job in managing a small temporary issue with onsens. My stay at Konoha / Tokinoniwa has been a great and memorable experience. Meals were great value for the money and they even translated the menu (just) for me. Staff at reception spoke excellent English, the other staff members less well, but we could understand each other.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I shall not return to this hotel again.”
I like the hotel had 5 baths to use and 3 of which were outdoor in the open air. Overall clean, tidy and staff service very good.

First traditional onsen ryokan experience for me and my Aussie partner. We were absolutely stunned by how elegant and detailed of food was. It was lucky that Tokyo snowed few days ago so we get to see snow covering Kusatsu. We bathed in the onsen admiring how unreal the view was with snow. Brilliant service too but the front desk can barely speak English.

Very pretty ryokan to stay at. The food was delicious and the baths were amazing. There is a ramen snack between 22:00-23:00 for free. The staff is accommodating but don't all speak English well. They try their hardest though! The bed was amazing, very large and soft.

They have quite a few onsen pools, with water sourced differently. The outdoor pools are sizeable too. For those visiting the town for better onsen enjoyment, this is one of the best hotels.
