Very accommodating and welcoming host. Prepared us breakfast even earlier than requested. Truly excellent service. Room and the rest of his property are maintained well. Many spots to sit and relax looking around the garden. Quiet location. Supermarket around the corner and other shops and restaurants and even busses 10-20min walk away.

Me and my aunt had our second stay at Mangala Lodge, and once again it was a wonderful experience. Mangala is extremely helpful, kind, and always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall environment was very calm and relaxing. The service is truly excellent, and you can see the genuine care given to guests. Since this was my second visit, We can confidently say they maintain their standards consistently. Highly recommended, and We will definitely visit again!

“Amazing stay!”

We had the most amazing stay at Mangala lodge. The place itself is really nice, filled with all sorts of collectors items from Mangalas great grandfather. The rooms were great and clean. But most of all, Mangala, the host, was just so lovely. He is such a nice person and deeply cares about his guests’ experience. We had some great chats with him and he recommended us nice places to hike. He is what truly makes this stay a 10/10

Mangala was a quirky and exceptional host. He was warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. He hired us tuk tuks and guided us on things to do and places to visit. We would return in a heartbeat! We actually booked for two nights but stayed for 5! Our breakfasts were amazing and varied and Mangala soon learned our favourites and his main aim was to please us, going to the market each day with us in mind. We loved the covered chill out area and spent a lot of time there, unwinding from our self imposed hectic schedule. We were surrounded by quirky antiques and artifacts collected by Mangala's grandfather. And Mangala's extended family, who were also lovely, lived in connecting properties. We were even invited to attend his little great nephew's first birthday party! A wonderful and memorable stay!

Mangala was so friendly and welcoming. He made us a lovely meal and showed us around his gardens. The property had everything we needed and was clean. The facilities are basic but that was expected for the price. The dining earea is decorated beautifully and full of interesting things. Mangala made the stay extra special.

We had a wonderful stay at Mangala Lodge! The atmosphere is peaceful, and the host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious with a nice local touch. The lodge is in a convenient location, close to Kurunegala town yet quiet enough for a relaxing getaway. We really appreciated the helpful tips from the host and the overall hospitality. Excellent value for money, highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

We wholeheartedly thank you for a wonderful time. The owner is a charming man with a big heart. He welcomed us with fruit from his garden and taught us how to eat mangoes with cane sugar. Mangale arranged transportation at a very good price to both the train station and to Pinnawala, the waterfalls, and other attractions. It's a place with wonderful energy, heart, and love for its people. Mangale loves children, people, and conversation. He's the sweetest man we met in Sri Lanka. We miss him already.

“Peaceful stay with the best host”

Mangala is the sweetest host we had in a while! The neighborhood is quiet, sweet and very local, in the best way possible. We spontaneously arrived very early at night (5am), lost our key, got soaked in heavy Rain but Mangala took care of everything. The onion sambol omelette was the best omelette I had in Sri Lanka so far.
