“Comfortable for a short stay”
It was a decent stay we just want to find a good place to crash and rest for that night after unexpected breakdown and lucky to find this property which was good for the price especially the beds were comfy and the room was spacious

The Staff were absolutely amazing first and foremost, anything that I needed was always given with incredible manners and friendliness. Location to the lake is exceptional.

Stayed here one night on our way from negombo to sigiriya and it was just perfect. Staff is really helpful and extremely welcoming! They also serve breakfast and dinner which is priced reasonably. The rooms are a bit old and very basic but had AC and a fan.

“Nice place for an overnight-stay”
Very friendly staff and the house reminds you of past times. Nicely decorated. It is situated right st the lake which we surrounded, it takes about an hour by foot.

“A home away from home.”
Grand Colonial Viveka has the best view of Kurunegala lake and it's located closer to Kurunegala city centre. Hospitality is high end, food is delicious and staff is very friendly. I felt like home with these beautiful people around. Thank you Maureen (Manager) and Senerath (MD) for managing this beautiful place alive. I'll definitely comeback when I visit Srilanka next time. All the best 🙂

“Calm peaceful beautiful small colonial hotel.”
Had a peaceful stay at this beautiful colonial property next to the lake. Food was really amazing, very friendly staff who were always happy to help out. Venue is a bit tired, but very good value for money. Highly recommend their mixed fried rice and Kothu Roti, best I have had in Sri Lanka. Would stay again.

“Super comfortable and friendly staff!”
We got a few upgrade, the hotel manager was super friendly and looked after us. We had breakfast which was really good and the room was very comfortable.

A great find in kurunagala. A lovely old style property full of history, charm and style. Great location on the lakeside - lovely for green, birds and exercise. The staff were so helpful and friendly, happy to accommodate any needs and making delicious Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast.

“Good value, good food, pretty location”
Excellent evening meal served on the veranda which overlooks the lake and has a cooling breeze. Our host served us a cheese Kottu for 2 for LKR 1500 which was very good value. There is a bar on site
