The location was really nice and calm, perfect for a relaxing stay. The place was very spacious, with a large room and a big, clean bathroom. The kitchen was also well-equipped and convenient. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable experience

Really enjoyed the stay here. It feels more like a private apartment than a typical hotel, which made the whole experience very comfortable and relaxed. The place was clean, spacious, and well maintained. The owner lives just across the road and is very friendly and helpful, but also respects guests’ privacy, so you can enjoy your stay without any disturbance. The environment is quiet and peaceful, perfect if you want a calm place to unwind. Overall, a great spot and I’d happily recommend it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Gorgeous cottage!”
Cottage 23 was a super cute place to stay! The owner who lives opposite the accommodation was incredibly friendly, helpful and hospitable. Also very knowledgeable of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and all the great places to visit. The accommodation was large! Very clean and had hot water for showering! The beds do not have a top cover, if you prefer a sheet over you perhaps request one upon booking, I am sure they will accommodate your request. A must stay when visiting.

“Great place for a one night stopover”
We used Cottage 23 just for one night for a stopover on our way to Sigariya...It does have stairs up to it but the appartment was plenty large enough and we loved the kitchen facility to it .There are shops and places to eat nearby and collect groceries.Owners were super pleasant and genuine.Parking was also available and because it was a little bit away from main road was quiet...

Great stay especially if you are staying for a couple of days as it has everything you might need. We only stayed one night, but it would be the type of house I would rent for a whole week.

Very nice apartment with everything you need. We were there on Sinhala and Tamil New Year's Day. In the evening, we lit firecrackers with the host. Everyone had a great time. PS The Avukana Buddha statue is the prettier one.
