“Fantastic location with a wonderful staff and accommodations”
The location of the hotel was amazing. You have to take the ferry to reach the hotel but the hotel provides you a ferry pass so you can go back and forth without paying. Particularly for breakfast, my husband and I do not drink coffee but we love hot chocolate and they had this available during breakfast, no extra charge which was great. The staff was super! The pool and spa was amazing. After climbing up and down the Bastei, it was the perfect relaxing thing to do.

“All in all a nice hotel but there is a lot of room for improvement!”
Location, room layout. Large tables in the restaurant. Wide range of food available. Pool and sauna area were good.

Breakfast was great. Pool and sauna area worked well. Children had a great time and staff we super friendly. Overall hotel is well located for activities in the area and the view is fantastic!

Nice small town Rathen on the shore of Elba river. Hotel is looking on the river. It could be a dream to stay in such location. Hotel has virtual reception, but they provide all necessary information for self-check-in and self-check-out. Our stay was very comfortable.

“Wonderful view,good facilities”
The hotel,the facilities were great!The view of the surroundings amazing! Just the food wasn't equivalent to the facilities and the money paid fir that.Sweets were not included in the buffet.You had to pay for them separately,which I think is rather cheapy!!!!In general it s a good hotel 😀!

The views from the room and balcony are great. The breakfast was very tasty. For dinner they have fish, meat and vegetarian options. The swimming pool is small, but while we were there it was never crowded. The person in charge of the hotel that weekend was very friendly.

“Great place to stay for a few days.”
Our room faced the river and the ferry, so we spent ages on the balcony with cups of coffee, just watching life on the river. The hotel is right at the entrance to the national park, lots of hike routes start here and we were able to make the most of the balmy autumn weather and stunning woods. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and delicious. We will be back, as there's still lots to see and lots to do in this area.

“A lovely friendly hotel overlooking the Elbe.”
We were moved to a sister hotel the Steiger Elbschloesschen 200m away, due renovations pulled forward. Good comms about change and we ended up with an upgrade hotel.
