Located in Kuressaare and offering views of the local castle and the town park, self-managed Kuursaal Guesthouse offers rooms with free WiFi and an LCD TV. “Nice in theory, disapointing in practice. Needs a refresh and better management.”
The Kuursaal guest house is nicely located in a wooden period building in a park overlooking the castle. Quite an idilic location. Unfortunately the rooms themselves are very tired, poorly lit, and not very comfortable. The whole place feels more like a hostal than a guesthouse eg remote entry instructions and no personal contact with staff.

Very conveniently located next to Kuressaare castle and very close to the beach. Good value for money. Right on top of the restaurant which was good.

The Kuursaal is in a beautiful setting within the castle park and only minutes away from a lively street in the centre of Kuressaare with many restaurants. The room was super clean, the beds were comfy and we had a wonderful time. The Ku-kuu fish restaurant in the same building is highly recommended. Free parking across the street.

It’s a so nice, quiet and lovely place in front of the castle, with a very good restaurant. It’s the very best hotel in Kuressaare!!! I enjoyed my permanence so relaxing! Room very large and comfortable!!!

Situated in the park opposite the castle and above a restaurant. Minutes only from bus stops, old town, churches, shops, cafes and restaurants. Very quiet and cozy.

Location perfect in the castle park, room number one view on the castle. Calm and quiet. Small fridge, Air conditioning, TV, wide bed. Lots of room. Close to the beach and restaurants. Breakfast through the restaurant or something would’ve been great.

“Thank you for your hospitality!”
Hotel in a historic building in a park right opposite the castle. Good communication, answered all questions, fulfilled all requests. The room has a small fridge, electric kettle, tea and coffee. Mattress and pillows are comfortable, bed linen and towels are snow white. Comfortable large shower cubicle, excellent water pressure. We were offered a cleaning service but declined as we were only in the hotel for 2 nights. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Excellent accommodation, we are very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality!

Very nice and responsive communication before the accommodation. Simple self check in. Spacious and bright room, quality bed (Asko Royal), overall good amenities. Will definitely visit again.

Great location across the moat from the castle. The room and ensuite bathroom was fine, not particularly memorable, but having forgotten the day we booked, so we turned up 24 hours late, we were just glad to have a room at all!

“Perfect lication and very nice place!”
We were allowed to park our two motorbikes outside (for safety). The surroundings was lovely and it was a quiet location. Easy check-in/out. All perfect 😁👌
