“Hotel with a historic view”

I was lucky to get a room with a view of the Kumamoto Castle. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is very neat.

Amazing view of the Kumamoto Castle from the room in particular the night view. Room size is sufficient too for a city hotel. The sizable laundry room is a big plus for long-term travellers.

Very convenient location. Next to Kumamoto castle and our room also has a very good view of the castle. Exactly like what the pictures show. Very close to the main walking streets as well. Room is not big. Amenities are provided at the concierge. Staff are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay!

“Comfort, Character, and Castle Views”

The view from our room was absolutely stunning — we had a perfect view of Kumamoto Castle, both during the day and beautifully illuminated at night. Some might describe the hotel’s décor as slightly retro, but we really loved its charm. The facilities were excellent too, with a spacious laundry room, a great restaurant, and a thoughtful selection of complimentary items for guests. Our room was also much larger than in most other places we stayed in Japan, and the staff were fantastic — friendly, helpful, and always professional.

Calm and relaxing during the night, price affordable and close to the main attractions. Good quality breakfast (mainly Japanese style)

Besides the nice location and elevator view to the castle, the staff was really nice! I asked how to grab the bus on the way back to the airport and they printed the instructions in english for me. That was really kind and thoughtful from them

Friendly and helpfull people in the hotel. Close to the center, railwaystation, and restaurants. A wonderfull view on the castle! The Japanese restaurant in the lobby is fantastic. A very good hotel!

Fantastic location right behind Kumamoto Castle. Conveniently situated not in the heaviest of Kumamoto traffic for trips out of the city.

We had an enjoyable stay at KKR hotel Kumamoto. Spacious, clean and large room with a magnificent view of the Kumamoto castle. This stay was one of the highlights of our Kyushu road trip. The hotel is easy to reach by public transport or your own car and it is 5-min walk from the castle north entrance. The staff was extremely helpful, especially when they assisted us on sending our baggage to Osaka with Yamato takkyubin.
