“fabulous stay on a small island in East Greenland - BTW the northern lights are spectacular there”

Amazing unique hotel in literally the middle of nowhere - well, if a small island in East Greenland can be considered nowhere. Anyway, for a single unique hotel on that island, the service is quite impressive. They offer also dinner and breakfast possibilities, which is a saver (if you do not want to go fishing or hunting in the wild)

Located close to the airport Hotel Kulusuk is a great place to start or finish your trip to East Greenland. The rooms are basic but comfortable and exceptionally clean. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The staff is absolutely exceptional! Jakob is the best hotel manager you will ever meet and there isn't anything he can't sort out for you. Miki and rest of the team is equally very helpful. Hotel is very cosy with amazing views . We felt like home! Thank you so much!

“Warm atmosphere”

The accommodation and facilities that hotel Kulusuk provides are considered luxury in this area (most of the houses in the village have no water clozet). Local staff were nice and helpful as well as manager Jacob. For someone could be Kulusuk a remote locality, but for me it's a warmy place with nice people both in the hotel and the village. I loved the breakfasts, eapecially their great kännelslur.

Jakob was super helpful all the time, food was amazing and the whole stay was exceptional. The young waitress with short hair was smiling all the time and Miki aswell. We will for sure remember the experience!

The hotel manager (Jacob) was very helpful, providing complimentary shuttle ride to and from the airport, which is nearby. We had a flight which required rebooking and he lent us his phone so we’d avoid call charges. And upon check out, he simply asked how many extra dinners we had and charged us accordingly, trusting us to be honest, which was a nice & simple touch. The kitchen staff was also very nice and the breakfast buffet was amazing! Finally, the dining area is open for guests to use throughout the day, so there’s a place to sit and chat or play board games.

Being the only option in Kulusuk, the hotel is not using using its monopoly and offers an amazing travel experience. Jacob the owner is one of the best service persons I met, helps with everything and gives you the feeling that you are taken cared of.

1st night booked last minute as ice causing problems with travel from Tasiliq so arrived for flight home day early. Reasonably priced.room, excellent buffet dinner and breakfast with unlimited coffee available all.day.. Flight was.then cancelled and, I assume because I was a guest previous night, was given a room again paid for by Iceland Air!

It is a wonderful place! Highly recommend this part of East Greenland. The landscape is breaktaking!

Very friendly staff and je owner, Jacob, even picks people up from the airport. Laid back atmosphere in the hotel. There is no other hotel choice in Kulusuk, but they work hard to make guests comfortable.
