This is a great hotel - but (for us, in late July) a too steep price, in my opinion. The location is wonderful, overlooking the lake,one can go swimming and walking right from the hotel. The restaurant is fantastic - our evening meal was excellent, and one can sit outside overlooking the water or inside. Everybody was really friendly. The building is interesting but inside the rooms are the usual average thing for a hotel, so from that perspective the comparatively high price (at least for us) is all about location and ambiente (and maybe lack of many alternatives in Kuhmo?). Apart from that, definitely worth a stay!

“Beautiful lakeside setting”
Easy to find and in a lovely location at the side of the lake. Staff were friendly and the room was warm, quiet and comfortable. Huge choice of delicious food at breakfast time. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. We went in the midst of winter and had a blast doing the 2hr snowmobile tour with our kids aged 12, 11 and 8.

“Reliable hotel in Kuhmo”
The building is nice and spacious. The location on the lake is nice. Ample parking. Friendly staff. Rooms were comfortable.

“A gem just outside Kuhmo.”
Excellent food at the restaurant, private beach, swimming possible for a long way into the lake with feet reaching the bottom before you get to the deepest part, amazingly cosy spa-section, with chairs and in- and outside jaccuzis (inside is cold water, outside warm), plus saunas. Really helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Will go again. The nature centre Petola is 300m on foot, and the Winter War museum (Talvisotamuseo) which tackles the local impact of the Winter War (1939-1940) in Kuhmo is next door.

“Convenient location for one night”
Nice, silent location. Perfect for one night. A comfortable bed. Good restaurant and friendly staff. Nice view from the restaurant and many options for walking in the park surrounding the hotel.
