The family are so welcoming and Miza will go out of her way to help you if you need anything. The location is quiet, peaceful and only a few minutes walk from town (which is quite noisy). The property is covered in trees and garden which invites all sorts of animals. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and have everything you need. I've stayed in Kuala Tagan a few times and this is my favourite accom.

Lovely little place just outside Kuala Tahan, it’s only a 5 min walk and it’s really peaceful. The room was spotless, very comfortable bed and shower. Great breakfast before our cave trekking and Amizah is a wonderful host, so kind and helpful, she even gave us a lift to the bus stop on our last day. Thank you so much!

There was loads of wildlife around the chalet. In the morning could you hear the gibbons and hornbills calling out while enjoying a peaceful breakfast. The bed was very comfortable.

It was a quaint place in the countryside, only about a 10 minute walk from the village of Kuala Tahan, gateway to the Taman Negara national park. Unfortunately, my visit coincided with floods in the area. Amizah advised when I checked in that I might not be able to stay for the 4 nights booked, or I might be stranded there for a further week, so she told me to pay on departure for the number of nights stayed (not all accommodation owners were this flexible). There was a flask of hot water in my room on arrival - refillable on request - and sachets containing coffee bags. I was also given a lit mosquito coil for my room each evening to get rid of any mozzies. I had a yummy breakfast one morning, at a very good price. Hopefully I can return one day to do all the things I wasn’t able to do this time because of the floods.

I arrived early with the bus from Kuala Lumpur, it was no problem to check in already. Otherwise you can relax in the reception area. The accommodation is located middle in a green scenery, which I like. Really enjoyed it and liked to sea the squirrels and chicken. It's a bit of a walk to town, but I think that's very nice. There is a breakfast available to your choice. on top of that the nice and kind host brought me to bus station.

The accomodation is located 5-10 minutes by walk from the main streets of the village, by a beautiful side of the forest. It is not far, there are no lights on the street by the night, but the area is safe. My chalet came with a big comfortable bed, the room was big with a table, a chair and space for my clothes. There was a private bathroom with shower and toilet. At the accomodation you can ask for a simple breakfast with coffee, tea, toast bread with jam and butter, fresh fruit. The host is a lovely lady who was very helpful and gave me many useful advises on tours and experiences at the Taman Negara national park. I recommend it for solo travelers or couples!

Located perfectly in a nature reserve. The gardens are beautiful and the whole energy of the place is calm and friendly.

Durian chalet was a lovely place to stay. Slightly away from the rest of Kuala Tahan, but still within a 10 min walk you really felt like you were out in the woods. The breakfast was also lovely with the chickens and Jungle fowl running around being nice to see. The owner was very helpful in suggesting how we book a treck and allowing us to leave our car there while we were away overnight.

Lovely family. Extremely cheap accommodation. A little bit away from the village, what can be a challenge in the heat.

The lady who owns the place is super nice. Durian Chalets is situated in a very quiet location bordering the rainforest. Rooms are very simple, but for us it added to the experience.

In the heart of the rainforest, we saw more wildlife staying there than when we actually went on the trail in taman negara park, including a hornbill. Host was very friendly and helpful and cooks a lovely breakfast for a small cost each morning. Room had air con and a fan, bed was comfortable and plenty of space Excellent value for money, for the price we had everything we could need/want

This is a review based on the location and Kuala tahan is in a very remote area the chalet's are a 10 minute walk out of town along a tarmac road with occasional street lights Nisha the owner is a very nice lady lots of information and speaks very good English our room was old fashioned and a bit damp but had a good shower and toilet and good Aircon and a fan it's surrounded by jungle so it's great at night to listen to the creatures of the night also take a torch to look for frogs etc on the way home from town she also makes a good cheap breakfast and a nice view as you sit and eat she will also pick you up and drop you off on departure also it's very safe and secure I would recommend durian chalets 👍
