If you're flying into Tirana late at night and simply need a clean, comfortable place to rest your head before the adventure begins, Side Airport Hotel does the job perfectly. It's just a 15-minute walk from the terminal — but here's something worth knowing before you set off on foot with luggage in tow: the road between the airport and the hotel has no pavements or paved walkway. We arrived late as a family of three — myself, my wife, and our 10-year-old — and ended up having to carry our bags rather than roll them because of the uneven ground. A taxi takes no more than 3 minutes and spares you that entirely. Worth arranging in advance. Once inside, though, it's a different story. The hotel is spotlessly clean, well-kept, and quietly efficient. Our room was on the first floor — no lift, so bear that in mind if you're travelling with heavy bags or young children. Check-in was handled by professional, composed staff who made the late arrival feel effortless. The following morning, the team who saw us out were warm and unhurried — the kind of people who make you feel like a guest rather than a transaction. The coffee was rich and the hot chocolate thick and indulgent, served with biscuits that our son demolished happily. We paid by card in Euros without any issue. As a one-night stay to ease into or out of Albania, I'd recommend it wholeheartedly — just don't attempt the walk from the airport in the dark with luggage.

Despite being close to the airport, the room is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Just perfect!

An amazing hotel , just near the airport

Location was superb, approx 10 min walk to/ from the airport. Staff were very helpful and sorted out the problem when I couldn't get Netflix to work. They also gave us s lift back to the airport next morning yo catch a bus.

Excellent airport stay near Tirana Airport. The hotel is clean, comfortable and conveniently located about 1 km from the airport. Ideal for late arrivals or early flights. One of the biggest advantages is the petrol station right outside the hotel which was extremely convenient for collecting our rental car and fuelling up before starting our road trip. There is also a small market on the ground floor where you can easily pick up snacks and essentials. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, modern and well maintained. In the morning, the complimentary coffee was a lovely bonus before heading to the airport.

Good service and good staff

It was very convenient and they had a shuttle to take you any time during the night which is extremely convenient. The place is clean.
