“Fantastic place to take small children for amazing memories”

Lovely hotel and the look on my five year old's face when he saw that our room overlooked the pirate bay was priceless.

We had a really lovely stay at the Dyreparken Safarihotell! The biggest advantage was definitely the location — being so close to Kristiansand Dyrepark made everything super easy, especially with a little one. We could take breaks during the day and get back to the zoo quickly without any stress. Parking was also very convenient. The atmosphere was fun, family-friendly, and full of happy energy. Overall, a very comfortable and practical place to stay for a zoo trip — would highly recommend for families visiting Dyreparken!

“Great Location and Friendly staff”

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The decorations and concept of the hotel is great ! It has a perfect location

Although quiet we were treated exceptionally well. Even invited to join the hotel and zoo management for a drink and snacks

No minibar. There was a cabinet that looked like there was a minibar inside, but the cabinet was empty.

Very good location, with an adventurous atmosphere that you feel right from the entrance. The place is also animal-friendly

Fire alarm went off during night time. Everyone was noted that it was false alarm. Still the alarm continued to go off throughout the night. We were not able to sleep. Our stay was arranged to be a middle station for sleep on a longer journey through southern Norway, and this booking was sadly not work it purpose.

Next to the park

A clean, spacious room, with an excellent shower — comfortable and warm, with high-quality toiletries. Wonderful breakfast and dinner, with options for every taste. In the morning you can step into the courtyard and greet the day with zebras and bongos, and before bedtime say goodnight to the ostriches — it’s very touching, and the child is absolutely delighted.

Although we didn’t visit the zoo, we will next time. The room was small but fine with a clean bathroom. I am not sure but I suspect the baby giraffes come and greet every new customer in the savannah garden :)

The hotel is charming and thoughtfully designed, especially for families with children. The common areas are playful and well-decorated, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for kids. The location is perfect—right next to Dyreparken, making it very convenient for park visitors.

“Ok for early airport start but not as close as we thought - still 15 mins drive”

Stayed here one night before an early flight. Closest we could find to airport but still not. Super close

“Good enough due to key positive factors, but very easy to improve this family oriented hotel!”

- The room was comfortable to sleep in as it was quiet, the bed was comfy and the temperature was nice (although a little cold otherwise, and with seemingly no way to adjust the temperature yourself). - The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the guests. - The location is great when visiting Dyreparken. - Good that the room offered Chromecast so we could watch some cartoons from my phone, although twice it did not work.
