The room was great, bed was comfortable. There was no breakfest but they have shared kitchen where you can prepare yourself a breakfest, it also has a fridge and microwave, and coffee machine. Location is excellent in city center and train station and ferry terminal is near.

We spent there just one night, the room was big enough for four people and clean, the beds are really comfortable, we could used the little kitchen in the lobby and the employees were very pleasant and helpful. The location of the accommodation is very central.

I was pleasantly surprised actually! I didn't really expect much, due to the low price, but the room was clean and bigger than I expected, and the bed was very comfortable. Large windows, nice view. The only thing was that the room was very cold. Other than that, I will definitely use Citybox again!

I was cycling to Oslo, but arrival to Kristiansand was around midnight or so. So I was thinking were to book for the night stay. I've spoken to one guy in Hilstras while was waiting to join a ferry. And he advised me a hotel. So when I left a ferry in Kristiansand I was surprised to find it so close to port exit. I found it very convenient as for location and other things. The coffee on a reception, 24 hours duty on a reception, big room to leave a bike with all stuff. So I didn’t need to drag all my things like bags and tent to my room at night after the trip. I just needed to take a shower, charge my electronics and sleep. So it was good

Check in and out was actually very convenient using the machine. The rooms are basic and not built for comfort, but you know… the shower was hot and powerful, the pillows and duvet were great, the mattress was ok. There was a TV in the room which was great and free tea and coffee in the kitchen. A cool super intuitive vending machine too. The staff behind the desk were fab too. The location is handy for the train/bus station.

Direct access to the city and easy independent check-in. Simple but good interieur.

I spent the night here with my family before crossing to Denmark by ferry. I had no great expectations, but even my low expectations were disappointed. I have already stayed very cheap, eg in youth hostels, which were simple but clean. So bad as here in the Citybox in Kristiansand I have never stayed overnight. I would have preferred to sleep in a tent.
