Hotel Kompas is surrounded by vast gardens and green meadows at the edge of Kranjska Gora. It is close to the ski slopes and features wellness facilities. Hotel Kompas offers a bicycle rental service and there are numerous hiking paths which lead from the property. The wellness area includes a Turkish steam bath, a sauna and indoor pool (please check opening hours and potential closures). Discount for ski passes is granted to guests, depending on the time of the skiing season.Hotel Kompas offers a transfer from the airports Klagenfurt and Ljubljana (Joze Pucnik) against extra charge.

“Very pleasant stay.”
Breakfast was good and the room quite comfortable. Location is great, right at the center of Kranjska Gora. Parking is for free. Staff very friendly. The pool is also quite ok, there is also a small one for the kids.

“Perfect location for Kranjska Gora activities”
Location is perfect, especially if arriving by car to Kranjska Gora (you exit a roundabout on the main road, and you're pretty much there). Parking is free for as long as you stay - you can come and go as you please. Breakfast buffet is fantastic and starts at 7am. Staff were friendly, everything is clean, there's a pool and small gym (sauna costs extra). I saw a negative review on here saying the hotel "felt like a relic of the 70s" - ignore the harshness of that review. The only 70s feel of the hotel is the orange tiled bathrooms. The hotel is clean, has everything you need and while not perfect or luxurious, it's the ideal stopover for everything this part of Slovenia has to offer. If you own or hire a bike, there's a "bike garage" in the building, this was very useful for us.

“Great stay - would be perfect during ski season”
We booked Hotel Kompas as a last minute stay. It was off peak season so much quieter than expected but it meant we could enjoy the facilities even more! We used the gym which is small but had most things that you would need for a basic workout. The pool and spa were also nice and the buffet breakfast was fabulous.

“Eastern at Kranjska”
Had another excellent time in Kranjska Gora at hotel Kompas (it was our second time at this hotel). Everything was really great, from the staff who are very friendly and approachable, to the breakfast and dinner. There are so many options and everything was delicious.

“Nice hotel, good room, poor food selection.”
The room was clean and big enough, with a nice view. The hotel is in the center in a beautiful location and surrounded by greenery. Cafes and a shop are 3 minutes from the hotel. The staff was very friendly. From the hotel you can reach the ski slope in just a few minutes on foot. The hotel has a pool and spa, but I didn't use it. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel, but there is not always parking space.

We loves everything! The Location is geat, Breakfast is excellent with a very large Variety od ingridiens and food,The roots, despite the hotel being oldfashion, Are spacious and very comfortable, super clean and tidy, and aove all - Great staff!!! Ready for any help and any question always with a smile.
