Super helpful with map and recommendations.If available would recommend a private room, good value and comfortable. Shared area is good for meeting friendly people. Location is good for the walking to the daily 6-7am ceremony

Great communication from the owner for a late check in and amazing advice for what to do the following day. The dinner was amazing and was the perfect end to a long day.

Such a lovely place to stay, right near the famous cemetery (must see). The owner gives a detailed overview with map of what to see and do during your visit. The breakfast and curry dinner are both delicious. Highly recommend.

I would 100% recommend this place for solo travellers. The owner is very friendly and helpful, he explained all there is to visit and helped me with my train reservation. I felt home and cared for. The common area is very cosy, the bed super comfy, the breakfast delicious 😋 they offer chaï, which is quite rare in Japan and they have roiboos too!! I didn't get to try the curry, but I heard it was delicious.

Very relaxed, intimate atmosphere, and a real good deal for Koya-san. Conveniently close to the eastern bus terminal and the path to Oku-no-in. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The hostel was cool - the building itself and the feel. It was comfortable, warm, and relaxing - exactly what you want after a chilly visit to the incredible cemetery nearby. The owner and staff were helpful and approachable, plus the food was a delicious. It is also one of the few affordable places to stay in the area. I loved it!

Ryochi! He was really helpful with how best to approach my one day visit to Koyasan and has created a really chilled place to stay.

Exceeded our expectations in every respect. The place felt really homelike - the cabins were super comfy and rather spacious. Despite no curfew and a full house you could barely tell there were other people there! The hotel is really well-managed and foreign-visitor-friendly. The owner spoke fluent English and provided us with a detailed self-made map of Koyasan, giving us plenty of sightseeing advice at the same time. The hotel offered affordable breakfast and lunch options. Last but not least, there's a whole library of books and a couple of board games you can enjoy. Definitely worth the price!
