Lovely place owned by a lovely man. Neat spaces that were not large, but just the right size. Great shared shower and bathroom facilities were also clean and just right

Wonderful place to stay. It's even better than in the pictures. I would be very, very happy to come back. Great to stay for just one night or longer. The only convenience store in town is very close, so you get everything you need.

Friendly stay to begin our hike. Provides basic kitchen facilities - microwave, toaster and hot water, which is helpful as dining options are limited.

Koyasan is a special place. Hachi Hachi, with its tatami mat rooms and futon beds captures the spirit of the place; simple but not austere. Nori speaks excellent English and is a most generous and informative host.

English speaking, helpful and quick to give tips that came in very handy! It's a 40 min walk to the cemetary, but on the other hand easily accessible with bus. Its spacious, clean and all in all a very good spot. Would definitely stay here again.

Super friendly and helpful hosts with good english skills!

The host was incredibly kind and helpful - even shared what is best to do and see in Koyasan. Room and entire house was incredibly clean, the room had everything you need, nice showers, restroom, etc. Also the living room had free tea and coffee! A very pleasant stay.

The room was simple yet surprisingly cozy. The whole house was clean and in good location. The host was very nice and kind, took his time to explain me what to do and where to eat in the region. He also lent me a bear bell before I went hiking.

This was a wonderful place to stay and explore the beautiful town of Koya-San. Impeccably clean, quiet and comfortable. Nori was a great host, so helpful with tips about the town and cooked up a fabulous breakfast.

Our host Nori was amazing, he immediately sat down with us and gave us map to mark out all his recommendations. The guest house is lovely and clean and the room is quite spacious.

Everything. Great rooms, comfortable futons, lovely tatamis. Very good breakfast. The host was very helpful and shared with us a few tips what is worth checking in the area. We followed the advice and were very pleased with all recommendations. I wish we could stay there longer, as the place is really outstanding. You can feel spirituality in the air. The Hachi Hachi guest house is a perfect base to explore the area.
