The family who runs the hotel is lovely and they are extremely good hosts. They prepare an excellent breakfast, which can be eaten around the pool or on the terrace of the room (for the rooms with a terrace). The hotel has a beautiful, Mediterranean garden and the whole structure is very comfortable and very enjoyable. We can only recommend Portes Houses!

The family picked us up at the port and made the trasport to the hotel extremely comfortable.

This place was a little slice of heaven! It was so relaxing and peaceful and the staff were just excellent! Every need was catered for and they were all so friendly and polite. The property was exceptional and the location just right for easy access to the village, restaurants, bars and beaches.

The property is gorgeous. We enjoyed a lot the pool area, the garden and the food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We appriciated and the pick-up and drop-off at the port. It is also impeccably clean and ran very smoothly by the owners and staff constantly present to help. Location was ideal halfway between the center and the best beaches.

Everything about it was perfect it’s just a beautiful place and the owner and viya and all the staff work so hard to make sure you have a wonderful stay

Our stay at Portes House was perfect. From the moment we were picked up at the port, we felt well looked after. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, with olive trees and blooming flowers adding so much to the relaxing energy the hotel offers by being on such a beautiful small island. Our room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed, including a handy little kitchenette with a fridge and kettle. We spent most of our time relaxing on our terrace, which had the most stunning view of Keros island and the sea. Having breakfast there each morning became our favourite wake-up ritual. The food was delicious and generous with made to order eggs and omelettes, coffees, Greek yoghurt with fruit, homemade cakes, bread, pastries, coffee, jams and honey every day. Every detail felt thoughtful. The pool area was also a highlight for us. Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and with a great mix of seating (I loved the comfortable beanbags) We had a salad by the pool for lunch one afternoon which was so fresh and tasty, they offer a full menu throughout the day. The team are genuinely warm, helpful, and so welcoming. The whole place is spotlessly clean and you can tell it’s looked after with real care. Portes is just a short walk from the town and beaches, not that anything is far on Koufonisi. It felt like the perfect base and truly one of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a special experience.

“Brilliant few days in Portes Houses”

The staff are so friendly, welcoming and made our stay extra special. The hotel grounds are beautiful and its so calm and relaxing. We stayed just before the main season starts so the hotel wasn't fully occupied but even if it was it would still feel peaceful. A lovely breakfast was served each morning on the terrace. Its only a short walk to the beaches and the main town. Highly reccomend if you are visiting Koufonissi to stay here.
