Really beautiful location, superb onsen baths. The staff made an effort to communicate with me in English despite them not being fluent. I really appreciate that because I can't speak Japanese. The hotel is quite 'traditional' Japanese style, which might put some travellers off, but I liked it. Amount of amenities, in the way of vending machines, microwaves and that type of thing are brilliant too. Gift shop looked good too, but I didn't really go in for long.

A beautiful calm setting that was perfect for the end of the day off the Shikoku 88 Trail. The onsen is a brilliant facility. Clean and inviting.

The hotel is huge, but still a great experience. The Onsen area is huge, unfortunately the steam bath is available one day for women and one for men so if you’re staying only 1 night you might non experience it. The buffet breakfast is highly recommended, you can find all sorts of foods.

Stayed here for just one night. It was a great location, an easy walk to the temple, restaurants and shops. The buffet breakfast was great! Its an old hotel but all the rooms had been upgraded.

Excellent onsen hotel. It is a good location near the train station, with an airport bus stop in front of the hotel. Easy access to the Kotohiragu. Very helpful and well friendly staffs. Clean room with outside bath in our room is fabulous. Nice dinner and breakfast.

Everything was nice. The dinners were excellent. The breakfast buffet was a good one but I would prefer to not have a buffet and just have a meal in a private room like at dinner. The staff were all very helpful and kind. Rooms were nice and clean but pretty average.

We Booked a room with a private outdoor onsen and dinner. Everything was amazing. The dinner was excellent and the private onsen amazing. Breakfast was also very good.

Superb private dinner, spacious room, ample parking space, very friendly staff.

Great location for having a tour in Kotohira. Rich breakfast. They offerred kinds of local specialties. I enjoyed the udon, mixed sallad, and Tofu very much. The onsen was refreshing and well maintained.

The food was sublime - 9 to 12 small plates for each meal. The staff was very kind and helpful. The rock onsen on the roof was lovely with a view on the mountains.
