It is from 70’s and nothing renovated. Seasonal workers from the Far East are staying in the adjacent rooms.

“Disappointing economy room with a very outdated, run-down feel despite basic expectations.”

Although I booked an economy room, the condition of the room was still an unpleasant surprise. The room felt very worn and outdated: the walls, doors and furniture were visibly scuffed and damaged in several places. I do not want to claim that the room or bathroom had not been cleaned, but the overall impression was so run-down that I did not feel comfortable using the shower. I understand that the hotel also offers higher-category, renovated and more expensive rooms. However, in my opinion, this condition cannot be explained simply by the “economy” category. The room felt more like something left over from the 1980s and apparently not renovated since then. Hopefully, this room type will also be refurbished in the near future. The overall comfort was further affected by the fact that I was placed on the top floor, and even though it was low season, noise from the neighbouring room was clearly audible. There was also a strong, heavy smell of food in the corridor, which added to the rather workers’ hostel-like impression. There were hardly any accessible power sockets in the room; I could only find one in a convenient location. I also did not receive any information about the Wi-Fi, and there was no information available in the room, so I did not use it. Overall, I was not expecting luxury, but I do believe that even an economy room should provide a basic level of comfort and acceptable condition.

A good choice for rest and work with a Sea view. Rooms are quiet,tidy,clean…staff is friendly. Excellent value for money…

“A really pleasant surprise.”

The Lucija Boarding House was a really pleasant surprise. Starting with the welcome at reception from the friendly and professional staff. The room was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Excellent cleanliness. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, both in terms of the quality of the food and the helpfulness and kindness of the lady who served us. Pleasant family atmosphere. Excellent breakfast, varied and of good quality. The waiter in charge of the dining room was really professional. Free parking was appreciated. Last but not least, excellent value for money. I highly recommend The Lucija Boarding House.

The facility is surounded with trees and the view is mesmerizing. It is peaceful.

Excellent value for money with a beach just under the accommodation and excellent excellent breakfast on a beautiful terrace. Very near Rijeka and many beaches along the coast to choose from.

Location, kind staff, we got a free upgrade of our room. The breakfast is amazing, lots of choice and a lovely breakfast terrace. Free parking. You can stroll along the seaside, a diving centre in close. Clean and quiet.

“Nice hotel”

Although we arrived quite late, we were welcomed warmly by the receptionist, who spoke good English. The room surpassed our expectations set by the reviews: it was clean and recently renovated, with new bed linens and towels, comfortable mattresses, and a well-maintained shower with decently hot water. The stunning surroundings of the hotel made our stay even better, and we appreciated the hassle-free parking right at the front of the reception. The breakfast was fresh, varied, and offered a lovely view. All of this came at a price lower than other hotels. Perfect!

Standard hotel room for a nice stay. Comfortable beds, very nice view from the window. Nice balcony. Breakfast was quite Oki.. Quiet neighbourhood, big parking. Hotel placed almost directly on the coast.

This place looked like abandoned building. Barhroom was full of mould and holes covered with yellow tape. Never stayed in worse place then this.

The breakfast was amazing,the room where clean. The staff at the check-in was okay. Nice to know there is a very good parking space.

Dirty sheets, dirty toilet, no soap, old an worn interior and exterior.

“Mold”

Location, it was relatively close to where I needed to be. Breakfast was okay. Staff is super kind, polite and helpful! Bedding and towels seemed clean.

Good, green, quiet location close to Rijeka, parking space available, small room with balcony but clean and bathroom renovated, tasty breakfast with wide range of food. Very surprised by ratio of price to quality. Stayed 4nights, would stay again. Recommend. We spend most of the time outside, but for the price cant complain about anything.
