The food was incredible homemade Sri Lankan dishes , it lives up to its name, you can literally see the waterfall from the little deck. The couple are very lovely and helpful.

“Exceptional experience, amazing host family”

From the outside porch you have an excellent view of the Diyaluma waterfall, we had breakfast here and it was magical. A huge thank you to our host and his wife! When we arrived it was pouring rain so we couldn’t go anywhere for dinner, they made us an exceptional rice and curry as well as a lush breakfast the next morning. Everything tasted amazing and it was extremely kind of them to cook dinner for us as well. Our host also took us up the waterfall the next morning for an exceptional tour (we paid him extra for it), he took some amazing photos and videos of us (excellent camera skills!! 😝) and we had a great time. Would always come again!

This property is in a perfect location to hike to Diyaluma falls and also surrounding places of interest. The host can also provides excellent meals on request.

Beautiful view of the falls, surrounded by tranquility. The family have put a lot of care and thought into making sure every guest has a great experience. Delicious dinner and breakfast! The owners brother took us up to the upper falls, definitely worth doing.

This place is just amazing. The cottage is very spacious and clean. The view of the waterfall from the front of the cottage is wonderful. When we arrived, the owner’s wife brought us dinner which was easily the best food we had in Sri Lanka. The owner took us on a tour to see all the local attractions, including the tea factory. We also went to see the waterfall and take a swim very early so that the place is not crowded. The owner was an incredible person. He showed us all kinds of local trees and animals and he always explained everything. We learned a lot from him and he is an amazing person which I cannot recommend enough. This was one of the best experiences we had here and we were very sad to leave. Also breakfast was really good, the wife is a restaurant level cook.

The property is centrally located in the Diyaluma region right near Diyaluma falls. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cozy cottage, we felt like at home! The host took us on an incredible journey to the top of the waterfall. We enjoyed it a lot and were glad to have an experienced guide with us.

During our three-week stay in Sri Lanka, we enjoyed nothing more than the night we spent in this lovely cottage. The family was as warm and welcoming as Sri Lankans generally are, but what made it truly special for us was the view of the waterfall and, even more so, the incredibly delicious food prepared by the wife. Not only did she cook sensationally for us, but she also gave so much of herself that it’s impossible to put into words how deeply this stay has stayed in our memories. The husband acted as our tour guide to the natural pools and explained so much to us. This hospitality, the location, and everything else truly deserve a 10/10. Thank you for everything!

Its a really nice place directly at the bottom of the waterfall. You can watch the falling down while you enjoy a really great breakfast on the terasse of your bungalow. The accomodation is basic but really cute. The host is very friendly and helpful. A nice place to enjoy the waterfall already in the early morning away from the buy city.

The view, how clean it was + dinner and breakfast were amazing

Beautiful cottage, very close to Diyaluma falls, you can admire them during the breakfast from the balcony and you can reach the top with 10min tuktuk and 30min walking. Room very clean and delightful. The host were very kind waiting for our check-in at 20.30 and keeping our bags the day after. Recommended.

Amazing stay! When can you watch a waterfall from bed! The host was great, breakfast and Dinner made by his wife were also very nice! We went up to the top of the waterfall with the host which had options to swim underneath the upper falls and incredible views. Really was a nice cottage. Nice place to relax. Would recommend!

The food the owner makes in the evening is more than amazing! If you stay here, eat in!

We reserved this place to see the diyaluma falls in the early morning (in this period in the afternoon there is too much water). The host has been fantastic! There was an electricity problem that day so he brought has with his tuk tuk to its friend restaurant where we had a very good dinner! Next morning at 6 he took us at the top of diyaluma falls (he is a local guide) explaining things and taking pictures. Back at the accomodation, we had our favorite local breakfast of our trip! Very good and very abundant. Very good experience and very good time there!
