“Great and unique place!”

Wonderful hidden gem, off the main road and with vibes of being away from it all. What it lacks in sandy beaches, it makes up in hospitality and a wonderful team who are friendly and welcoming, and can organize numerous activities. My main aim was scuba diving and shark dives were world-class! The food is amazing, and you are very well looked after. Waidroka is truly a wonder and I would gladly visit again.

“Amazing stay on the Coral Coast that exceeded my expectations!”

The staff was really outstanding! Tim and Grant are really nice guys and they will make your surfing and diving experience on the Coral Coast nothing short of amazing! The other people were also super caring and lovely. I also really enjoyed sharing my meals with the other guest around the big tables and, of course, had a blast discovering the Kava ceremony!

Amazing isolated and quiet spot to relax and unwind. Beautiful grounds and pool. Rosie was the activities manager and yoga instructor and was fabulous, flexible and keen to make our visit special. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay special.

The staff is extremely gentle, thoughtful, smiling. Your well-being is their concern. From the gardener to Yannick and Isabel, the directors. They are proactive to solve any problem you can face. The resort is well situated for surfing this area and Tim, the surf guide and Ben, your safest captain, will make your session the best possible. Beds where comfortable in the two different rooms we were The prices of the food and the drinks are very correct, I was expecting more. And the food is very very good. Not eaten the same thing twice in dinners in a week. Appreciable.

“Unexpected delight”

This is a quiet surfing and diving resort. It's a great place to get out on a very quiet and beautiful piece of ocean. The staff made this place for us. It's not fancy, but their attention to their guests is what made it for us. Our room was clean, spacious and comfy. The food was just enough and we really felt the love was their in each meal.

I can't say enough good things about the resort. Myself and my friend do not dive or surf, but there was plenty of excursions available and very experienced, friendly staff. Food was amazing! We will definitely return.

Very friendly staff and other guests I came alone and due to the remote location everyone is very friendly easy to stoke up conversation and has dinner together. The room was basic but spacious had everything you need.

Waidroka Bay is a small, secluded resort, with very friendly and capable staff, excellent food, and in a beautiful location. Very good for diving, surfing and kayaking offshore.

Staff were amazing, couldn't fault any of the locals and how accommodating they were. Food was also excellent with a good variety and choice. Accommodation was clean and there were a good amount of small extra facilities, i.e. pool table, darts.

Beautiful location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing. However, for what we paid, the rooms need more love and attention. The general facilities need some love and care e.g mouldy cushions round the pool area, broken and mould covered hammock. No yoga classes which were promoted. Massive shame as the hotel has got so much potential. Felt like all the focus was on the dive school.

Located in a very private spot, in the middle of the jungle with access to the ocean for day trips, surfing and diving, loved it! Super chilled spot, nice pool, and the food… omg… the food is amazing!!! Lorna and Andy will help you with anything you need and the staff is trained very well. The room is cleaned everyday. Six stars for service and food, I really can’t wait to go back.
