Our stay at House of Mara was amazing, thanks to the incredible host, Bojana. She was so kind to wait for our arrival, lent us toiletries in the middle of the night, and even drove us to the station the next morning! We truly enjoyed our chats about Croatia, the history of the house and about Bojana herself. The place is very comfortable, and waking up to the peaceful green meadow was so relaxing. Bojana’s hospitality made us feel right at home—highly recommended!

“Peaceful paradise”

The location was perfect. Beautiful setting. We had a balcony room, loved the view of farms and leftover snow on the range. The room was clean, warm, and a great size. Our host was so welcoming. She made us feel at home. Gave great information on the area and where to visit, eat, shop etc. Great proximity to Plitvice National Park - entrance 2. Would happily stay again

We loved our stay at House Mara. Boyana was a fabulous host. She greeted us upon arrival, which we really liked. She speaks very good English and was always ready and available to converse. We learned so much from her. We really liked that coffee was available to us every morning.

Beautiful meadow and mountain view from the balcony. Kindness of the owner to let us use kitchen facilities.Also very friendly and easy to chat to. Convenient distance from Plitvice and supermarket. Friendly cats. Ample parking. Hot water and a comfy bed. Loved our stay...just perfect after walking the whole day in Plitvice.

Cozy rooms for a very good price, but the best of all is the hospitality - you immediately feel like staying with good friends. We had a wonderful stay and would come back just to stay here again!

Our host, Bojana, was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. She gave us lots of helpful information about Plitvice Lakes, including which entrances to use, where to find supermarkets, and the best spots for dinner. Even after we had checked out—and on her day off—she kindly did a large load of washing for us and let it dry in the sun while we explored the park. The room was super spacious with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was perfect. It felt like staying in a warm, homely environment, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host or experience.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The host was exceptional — warm, professional, and always available for any questions, especially the sites and things to do nearby. The hospitality truly elevated the whole experience and made our stay seamless and memorable.

“Great accomodation, lovely hosts”

Cosy accomodation with all necessary amenities, we felt right at home. Very quiet at night, we slept like babies. Great location to visit Plitvice Lakes, several restaurants with great traditional food nearby as well. Our host also provided a lot of great tips on where to eat and what else to see in the surrounding area. We had a problem with our car, and our host Bojana and her husband went out of their way to help us fix it before leaving, spending nearly their entire morning on this !!Amazingly kind and warm people, thank you again for your help, it was much appreciated ❤️! We also enjoyed the lovely chats we had with our host. Bonus points for the cute kittens we got to play with 😄 I 100% recommend this stay, and would return here in a heartbeat !

OUR FAVORITE ACCOMODATION IN CROATIA 🫶🏻 The host was the kindest person we have met here. She helped us with Plitvice Lakes routes and she recommended nice restaurants! She offered us coffee in the morning. Plus, it was very close to the park and it was super clean! I strongly recommend!!!
