Located right by the Kwando River we loved to listen to hippos splashes , their deep grunts and explosive snorts! Fantastic hassle-free bush experience. Glamping tents are equipped with large en suite bathroom, 4 comfortable beds with bedding, veranda with a fridge, stove & utensils and outdoor braai. A walking distance from the newly renovated main river lodge makes it easy to enjoy the wooden deck, swimming pool, beautiful gift shop, lovely restaurant with buffet style meals, and all the activities provided.

“Amazing place, MUST TRY!!”

Amazing location and great camping2go stays right by the river. The tent has all the amenities including a private attached bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The restaurant is great too. You get to see the hippos right in front of the property, throughout the day. Then you hear them in the night too!

We loved this camp. Conveniently located for three NP for self drive. The lodge caters for tour groups but the Camping To Go is situated some distance from the lodge and from the self campers. Very peaceful and private - apart for the nightly hippo bellowing! Special mention for the young security man who visited us every evening. His talent is definitely in guest relations - he made our stay special - he needs promoting!

The family glamping tent was excellent. Enough rustic touches to make it feel authentic. The lodge was very good, staff were helpful when asked, view from lodge and campsite was gr8.

Lovely location of tent on the riverside. We took an excellent sunset boat cruise and morning game drive, organised by the lodge and accompanied by knowledgable guides. The staff both at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

“Tents okay for one night, but diner overpriced”

We spent a night at the Namushasha camping2go tent. The tent was equipped like all others from Gondwana, but the zip fasteners were a bit stiff and everything is little aged. Otherwise, everything was okay and we had a nice view of the river. However, the neighboring tents were very close, so we could hear everything from our neighbors. For dinner, we went to the lodge. The dinner cost 545 Namibian dollars, which was too expensive for what you can eat. The sunset and the restaurant were very nice, though. The staff was very unemotional and didn't provide any information, we had to drag everything out of them. For one night it’s okay but the food was overpriced for us. And we had better camping2go of Gondwana.

The tent was very well equipped. We even had AC, which was quite important with more than 40 degrees outside temperature. There are several power outlets directly at the bed. Mosquito net was good. All trips which we booked had been great. We had a house hippo only a few meters away from the terrace.

“I would stay there again!”

We wanted a quick stay on the way to Kasane and we found this place a great choice. They apparently have 3 types of accommodation (lodge rooms, tents and the camping area). We choose the Camping2Go and we have stayed in the tents with bathroom. It was a great experience with limited comfort compared with more upscaled accommodations but we found it just great. You can either cook your own meals because they have a fully equipped kitchen or eat at the restaurant in their main facility. The view is amazing and the dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious.

What a special place. The glamping tents were really comfortable, clean and well-equipped. Very private. Had our own little garden and veranda/terrace. Close walk to the main lodge which was very beautiful with a fantastic view of the river. Every morning around 8 we had bush-buck grazing in the bushes at the side of our tent.
