The outdoor onsen was great with a fantastic view. That alone is worth the stay. Both dinner and breakfast has great variety and taste. Room was spacious.

“Quiet and lovely stay”
We loved the ‘cable car Onsen’; it was certainly unique and the rotemburo had a fantastic view. We also enjoyed the fantastic breakfast. There was a good spread that was tasty and healthy. The place was old, but in a charming way, and I was impressed with how well it was upkept.

A journey back in time, loads of character and atmosphere. The staff there is absolutely lovely and make a big effort to make you feel welcome. Hope more people find this gem on the mountain. Places like this is why I love Japan

“70s vibe hotspring hotel”
The highlight was a short cable car ride to get to the onsen in the sky from the hotel lobby. The hotel has the 70s nostalgia vibes.

“older hotel with very nice and special onsen”
The hotel is located in a small village right by the mountains. The really nice feature is the onsen area uphill: you enter a small ropeway to go up (and down). From the baths (partly new!) you have a great mountain view. Food was nice with plenty of choices, dinner partly and breakfast completely buffet style. The dining hall as also a small seating area outside. The whole building is maintained but is pretty old, as you can see here and there.

“Relaxing stay”
