“A beach home in beautiful Kommetjie”

This was a really beautiful apartment close to the beach in Kommetjie (second row), perfect for enjoying stunning sunsets. Restaurants and coffee shops are only a 5-minute walk away. The area feels very safe and the apartment includes a private parking space and a cosy terrace. The apartment is fully equipped for both short and longer stays. It has a full automatic coffee machine, Netflix, a comfortable bed, a couch, and a large desk that’s great for working remotely. The host was incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations for healthy food options. We even received natural spring drinking water from the area. Our stay here was definitely a highlight of our time in South Africa—it truly felt like home.

Clean, comfortable, there was a sofa and a desk and a dining table which made it good for working at, as well as relaxing. The bed was comfy, the bathroom had a great shower. Plenty of space for clothes. Kitchen was well kitted out. Nice outdoor braai area. Close to beach. Perfect.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the most incredible accommodation just a short walk from Long Beach, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The place was incredible, and it truly felt like a home away from home! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed—whether we were making coffee in the morning or preparing dinner in the evening. The attention to detail was clear in every corner, and the thoughtful touches made our stay extra comfortable. One of our favorite features was the large outside patio. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day at the beach, and just take in the peaceful surroundings! I am already planning our next trip to stay here again!

Location was perfect for us - a stones throw from the ocean, quiet, peaceful and an ideal location to walk to the beach, to the local cafe and restaurant. The space was beautifully set up and super comfortable to stay in. Kitchen was fully equipped and bathroom was all it needed to be. The space was super clean and welcoming.

Hildegarde was an amazing host, happy to attend to any queries and contactable at any time. Lovely to chat and gain local experience of the area and where to go, what to see etc. Dreamtime was a lovely little place to stay for Christmas. Was super chill and private which was a bonus. Facilities were great and really stoked to see the emphasis on environmental sustainability by the use of non-toxic cleaning products in the bathroom and kitchen, recycling facilities and the use of reclaimed and sustainable materials within the place. Would recommend this to anyone interested in staying within Kommetjie.
