“You cannot tell a book by its cover”
Hey it is not the Hilton but I found the staff friendly and helpful. My room was big, clean with good wifi and shower. Fridge in room. . Food in restaurant was good. Good communication. Airport pickup and drop off

The staff were so responsive and friendly and helpful Pick up from airport offered although you can walk it in about 2 mins Restaurant on site Water machine for hotel and cold water Work worked well Shower had hot water

“Good option in Kolonia.”
A good option in Kolonia. There isn't too much else. Run by Chinese, and they have a restaurant that opens for lunch and dinner, they can do your laundry, and you can hire an SUV car through them too. The beds were comfy, and the TV could get YouTube. Bottled water provided. The air con worked well too. Walking distance from the airport, but they picked me up and stopped me off. Very kind.

The staff was very helpful and warm. For guests who only have a stopover between islands, it is a great location just a minute's drive from the airport. There is also a restaurant here, which opens at 5:00 PM and closes around ten. The rooms are spacious, there is plenty of storage space and there is wi-fi.

“Functional and convenient option in Pohnpei”
China Start Hotel is a functional hotel next to the airport of Pohnpei. It offers good Chinese food (the Chinese restaurant is always full!) and convenient services like car rental. It is a good option if you do not need a turistic / resort-like experience. The staff were friendly.

“Slice of island pie”
Hotel manager was very responsive and helpful my entire stay. Drove me from the airport, picked up SIM card, helped me with taxis and recommendations for breakfast restaurants and even offered to pick me up when taxi did not show up in town. Excellent service. Very personalized. TY 🙏

Weiping, the owner, truly went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Not only did he provide me with food and drinks late at my arrival night and during holidays, he also organised a very inexpensive car for me and invited me on a fishing trip with his friends. Altough I didn`t catch anything, we still shared dinner together. His staff was helpful and trustful, I requested another room because the previous tenant smoked and it was still lingering in the room. The staff went upstairs with me and we checked several rooms together and they let me pick one. I was also trusted with doing all my payments on checkout day without securities or deposit. I felt extremely welcome and comfortable there. It is only 3 minutes walk from the airport, but quite a stretch over the causeway from the town.

Very close to the airport, room was good. Friendly staff, free cold/hot water machines on every floor. Owner arranged a rental car for us, easy!
