When you arrive you’ll be blown away by the crystal clear water and charming island. Zorba greeted me and we walked up to the property. I was immediately blown away of the view from the apartment, incredible. The apartment was perfectly maintained; fresh linen, comfy bed, clean and tidy bathroom and kitchen well equipped for cooking. There is so much to explore pristine beaches (the nude one being the best), plenty of walking trails and historical sites around the village. Zorba was the perfect host. Going above and beyond making me fresh lemonade and even a homemade dinner. Her daughter Barbara was also lovely!

We stayed here for ten nights and loved everything: the place, the hosts, our room, the island and its surroundings. First of all, we would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful hosts, Zorka and Barbara. You made us feel so welcome with all your thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Everything was spotlessly clean at all times and had clearly been prepared with great care and attention. The rooms and facilities were immaculately clean and beautifully designed with a magnificent view. The house is surrounded by flowers, fruit trees and vegetables, all with sea and mountain views – it's a truly magical setting. The island itself has so much to offer, including relaxing walks, scenic hikes, ferry rides to Dubrovnik and the surrounding islands, secluded swimming spots and unforgettable sunsets. With no cars, countless paths and a calm, familiar atmosphere, it truly feels like a retreat. Reaching the rooms involves climbing some stairs, but it's not too demanding. It's well worth it for the peaceful setting and the views. PS: There is a very comfortable Kitchen, clean and well equipped. If you are planning to stay longer, we can recommend to make some grocery shopping in Dubrovnik - as the island only has a small Kiosk with reduced offers.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Guest House Orteb. The host, a lovely lady, greeted me with refreshing lemonade upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long journey. Throughout my stay, she continued to surprise me with delicious treats like apple strudel and muffins – such a warm and generous host! The room was spotless, cozy, and perfect for my needs, and the bathroom was equally clean and well-maintained. The guest house is situated on a picturesque hilltop, offering stunning views of the beach and harbour of Kolocep. It was the perfect escape from the busy mainland of Dubrovnik, providing a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend Guest House Orteb to anyone looking to experience the beauty of Dubrovnik while enjoying a serene and welcoming environment away from the crowds. It was truly a special experience!

Well, I want to say thank you to Zorka for hosting us. The guest house is located at a prime location on the hills with stunning views of mountains and sea. It is also situated in the central part of the island close to the restaurants, shops and port. The room was spotlessly clean with a private bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for cooking. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the beautiful terrace with amazing views. The beach was also located within a 5-minute walk from the villa. Zorka was always available to help, she even baked fresh homemade yummy cakes every day for guests. Zorka is one of the best hostesses I have ever met. If anyone staying at Kolocep Island Oreb house you won't regret it.

“A beautiful place to spend a week's vacation”

We loved staying here for our vacation week. We were looking for a quiet place where we could relax. Barbara and her mother (maybe!) They were very kind! They made us feel at home with their sweets offered! The apartment very clean and tidy. We recommend everyone to spend some days here!

“Idyllic getaway”

WOW, I loved my stay at Guest House Oreb! Best view on the island, the rooms are large and comfortable. Very clean and good facilities. The highlight for me was the guest house owners. They were absolutely lovely and made me feel so welcome. The only thing to be mindful of is there is a large number of stairs to reach the property. This was not a problem for me but something to be mindful of if you are not able bodied or have health issues. I don't have a bad word to stay about Guest House Oreb and I really hope to stay here again one day!!

Clean spacious room with air conditioning. Nice balcony with view on the Bay. Shared kitchen with two refrigerators and a great big balcony, shaded from the sun and with a great view on the Bay. The island offers great hiking trips and nice hidden beaches. Lovely place to rest for a week.

Guest House Oreb is set in a stunning location with spectacular views overlooking the bay. The hosts were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. We were welcomed to the guest house with homemade lemonade and during our stay treated to the most delicious coffee and cake.

Fantastic Host could not be more welcoming ( treated on arrival with homemade lemonade and a cold local beer) Good spacious room with nice balcony facing onto the bay Fantastic little terrace perfect to relax and enjoy your home cooked meal looking over the port of kolocep 3 days was not enough 1 week at this property would have been excellent great base for nature/ swimming/ island tour/ day trip to Dubrovnik

“Accommodating, clean and friendly, just watch all the steps!”

The stand out positive was that the terrace was beautiful and the host greeted us with home made lemonade which was much needed after the 170 steps to the apartment! The host was very friendly ans also provided us with home made cakes regularly, which was lovely! Kitchen had everything we needed during our stay making it easy for us to settle in. Rooms were clean and comfy. We booked all the rooms available, if travelling in one room you may want to know the kitchen is shared and can feel crowded quickly.

The view from the terrace is stunning, the room is spacious and lovely bathroom, useful kitchen and especially the host was so nice and accomodating :) also very cute cats!

This was a perfect place for a week of slow living. The hosts were the best ever, friendly and helpful. Close to swimming and cafes to eat. Heaps of walking and the swimming opportunities. The nude beach was the best swimming place we found - just do it you're on holidays.
