After our long backpacking trip in Koli National Park, Kolin Keidas was a spectacular place to stay and rest. I have only great things to say about this hotel, not a single complaint. The hotel is beautiful, a very traditional Finnish country house. Our room was really spacious, nicely decorated, and the bed was super comfortable. One of the best things for us was that they are pet friendly, and we felt that our dog, Tango, was very welcomed. The location is awesome! You can get to the Nature Center, the port, and the main trails right from outside the hotel, which is very convenient. The sauna was amazing! Totally recommended to book a time and enjoy it. Also, the breakfast was delicious. The dry toilets, which are very traditional in the Finnish countryside and cottages, are the cleanest we have ever used. Finally, the people that manage the place were very nice, and the atmosphere was super friendly. I would totally come back to this hotel.

Kolin Keidas is a very different style of accommodation! Great location in the national park - it’s literally on the trails - and ten minutes walk to the main road, where there’s a couple of food places, a pub, a supermarket etc…. We stayed in the old building which has four rooms for use in summer. Two up and two down. The room was basic. One single bed and a bunk bed. A small dressing table, lamp, fan/heater and a plug socket. That’s it. Our room was up a very steep flight of stairs. This would definitely be an issue for some less mobile people. It was the only room with a window, which was great, except there was no blind or curtain, and it was midsummer! We had to cover the window as best we could with a sheet. The kitchen in the main building was ok for making simple food, but the fridge was packed, so not a place to arrive with lots of groceries. Breakfast was included in the rate. It was great. Perfect before a day’s hiking. The sauna was awesome. As other people have said, it really is the stand out feature of the property. We had a 45 minute session to ourselves.

The breakfest was very tasty and good quality. Homemade porridge and bread, delicious :p Every evening Tiia heated the sauna for us <3 Lovely beautiful place to stay and good energies! I recommend this. :)

We have enjoyed this lovely eco-friendly farm. It is a special place with special hosts, which were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for the Ukko-Koli hike and the farm self is located in the middle of the nature. The breakfast was very delicious and organic. The sauna should be amazing - but we didn‘t have time to used it.

Fantastic experience, great vibe and energy. The whole complex is special and the sauna was a nice bonus. Hosts were genuinely friendly and engaging.
