Best stay of our trip in Kyushu! We can’t ask for more. Scenery, amenities, staff and food are all mind blowing! The onsen is so great that even though we only stayed for 1 night we spent the most time in the onsen! It’s clean and hot all the time! The steamy hot air from the onsen and the sound from the water flowing doesn’t bother us at all thanked to very good room insulation. Staff are incredible! They helped us booked our dinner at the Japanese restaurant next door! That Kaiseki dinning experience was one of the best we have ever had. The complementary Oita potato mochi cake is so yummy so we ended up buying 2 boxes back. Breakfast is included in the stay and also very yummy we asked for refill of nato, miso soup, rice twice 🥹 everything tasted so delicious. Rental car is a must if you want to visit the place especially during snowy seasons. During the day time you can see mount Aso ranges.

Absolutly amazing stay, I can't recommend it enough. We were only two, but given it's a rather spacious japanese style house with two onsen pools (inside and outside), it can comfortably fit 4+ people, which photos don't show enough. We enjoyed absolutly everything, from the house itself, onsen, provided amenities, being so close to nature, the best breakfast we had probably anywhere in the world in a hotel. Thank you to everyone working on making us feel like home here 🙇‍♀️

We were lucky to get a family room with an indoor and outdoor onsen at a discounted rate. This room is definitely a heaven for a family or a group of friends. The breakfast was superb and the Italian restaurant we had chosen was of premium fine dining standard. The service was excellent too.

Served as a lovely home base to explore the Aso Kuju area. The room was spacious and clean with a private onsen which was hot. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The Japanese breakfast was great (they also offered to prepare a Western style breakfast). Unfortunately it was rainy/cloudy during most of our stay, but there was a nice view from the deck. It's probably best to have a car to reach the accommodation. Would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed three nights in Spagreenness and it was one of the best hotel experiences that we’ve ever had. The hotel staff were super friendly, the room was sparkling clean and the breakfast was delicious and rich in variety. No need to say that the private onsen experience with the view of mountain Aso was the absolute highlight.

“Great onsen, but somewhat underwhelming”

The hotel is located in a beautiful forest, quiet and tranquil. There was an onsen in our room, which had hot water running all the time, and that was a wonderful experience. The staff booked a dinner for us in a restaurant nearby, which was amazing. The room had ample space, and provided amenities like cosmetics, slippers, comfortable robes, local sweets, tea and coffee. The breakfast was great and copious.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the big bath inside our room. The staff was generally kind and professional. The Japanese restaurant right outside that we booked for dinner was also super nice!

I would recommend to stay atleast 2 nights in this resort because the check in time is 4pm and 10:30am for check out. The room is spacious and It comes with 2 private Onsen for Akane room.(Indoor & Outdoor) The enviroment is good for those who seek for peace of mind as the place is far from Town. It takes 40 mins to reach fr Özü town or an hour travel from ASO mountain to the resort. The breakfast serve in Japanese cuisine.
